Amazing views and food!

Jurgi is the best hostess ever. really helpful and always genuinely smiling even though we can see it was too much for her alone to do almost everything. I travel a lot and I’ve very rarely seen hostess like her (or maybe lever)

“Amazing experience.”

Spent two days recently in this amazing place. View is spectacular as is the room and food. The staff made us very welcome and when we arrived the room wasn't ready but we sat in the sunshine with drinks on the house. The room is very well appointed with lovely bed and private sauna but its very very dark :-). (Maybe some stronger lightbulbs hahahah). The highlight of the weekend was the food. Janis (the chef) did a fantastic job creating two seven course menus (they say they're five but there was a couple of surprises in there). The food was varied, local and exciting each course complimenting the last. Some strong flavours but very enjoyable. This man is an artist. Breakfast too was amazing. Not the usual tired buffet but presented individually with great selection and choice. My suggestions are a better Ginger beer (maybe Tiptree or Fentimans) and a little something sweet with coffee after the meal. However I'm nitpicking. If you stay anywhere in this area it has to be here. Can't praise them enough.

“A perfect stay”

Our host Jurgita went above&beyond to make our stay perfect. If there was a rating 20, we would give a 20! Thanks again for everything you have done for us. Also, the dinner was perfect at a very modest price, big compliments to the chef!

“A magical place to stay, but not cheap”

A magical place, with very cosy rooms, though somewhat cramped, due to the age and layout of the building. The sauna in the bathroom is a nice touch, the bed was comfy and we had everything we needed, apart from a kettle for making tea. The view is lovely and the balcony would be great in warmer weather. The restaurant is excellent, with uniquely interesting and well-presented food.
