“A decent hotel for 1 night”

Everything was fine. I had everything I needed. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.

Room was larger than you'd find in a lot of Japanese hotels. The location is really close to the train station so ideal for a single night stay. The book theme is excellent and lends some individuality to the hotel.

Cute little hotel located pretty convenient for our needs. We stayed four nights and had a condensed Kyoto experience. Just a 10min walk to Kyoto station where most trains or busses would bring us to our various points of interest. We are super early birds so this was very convenient. The hotel itself is very cute. Loved the book vibe, did not have time to stroll though them (most if not all are in Japanese!). It is also super quiet and smaller, so it feels more intimate. That is very nice to catch some breath after moving all over the city with many many other tourists. I also used the washing maschine and dryer. Worked very well. However, I needed two cylces to get the laundry really dry. Fortunately there were not too many people making use of them.

The location was excellent—within walking distance from Kyoto Station, with another station just a few minutes away and a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing; they were so accommodating and even made sure I could extend my stay in the same room without any hassle. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely fresh scent.

The book hotel was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is not very central but near enough to station to walk to it and very near a metro stop with a convenience store. The room is ok and clean even if nothing special and the bed is comfortable

- located in a quiet part of Kyoto which we liked - 9 min walk to Kyoto Station, and the Subway Karasuma Line is a 2 min walk from the hotel & takes you to Kyoto Station - close to bus stops, local restaurants & convenience stores - large bedrooms with heaps of space - lovely guest communal area on 1st floor with heaps of seating, power outlets & a bar - you can borrow books from the hotel’s collection to read during your stay - very friendly staff

I liked everything about this hotel, with the added bonus of a relaxed and quirky atmosphere. A quiet reading space alongside the lobby surrounded by shelves of books sets a lovely tone, repeated in the room. A quiet and enjoyable place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Good access to public transport and there's a nice restaurant/bar nearby

The concept around books, although I expected to have the books changed in my room according to the questions they asked during the check-in. Also, I wish there was a bit more in other language than Japanese. Having matcha and a water boiler, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean

The location was convenient for the buses, a bit of a walk to the station. Comfortable room, comfortable bed, great stay overall and would stay again.

Large room for solo traveller, clean, lots of cool books to look at. It would be cool if the books had English summaries or information if any other language translations are available!
