The room and all the facilities were clean. The owner was the sweetest. She gave us a lot of tips for around the area even if it has to be done with some translation app. It was raining quite hard when we left and she even brought us to the trainstation with our backpacks! It was a delight to stay here and the owner made this better really. If you want to stay in a guesthouse with friendly people, book this one!

The host. She was very welcoming, very kind, and made us feel at home. In the morning she also made us a very pretty and tasty breakfast. One of the best of our stays in Japan.

“Great stay”

The lady was a real charm. I arrived much earlier than the check-in and she made me feel at home right away. She gave me information on things to do and where to go, as well as the leaflets of main touristic attractions and buses. She even prepared breakfast in the morning, although it was not included in the price. Great hospitality, clean and well located.

Lady who runs it was amazing

It was a very pleasant experience. The hostess was very friendly, prepared breakfast for us, talked a lot. The hotel is located in a very good and quiet place. We found a good laundry nearby.

“Amazing hospitality and great location”

I loved the owners and their hospitality. They made me a luxurious breakfast with bread, egg and lots of fresh fruits. They were very helpful with everything, sharing tips what to do around Nikko. They even gave me some fruit to eat on the train on the way back 🥹 It was also an authentic experience to stay in a traditional Japanese house. The location was also perfect, just a 5 min walk to JR Nikko station and the bus station.

Very excellent hospitality, helpfulness, and warmness. It felt like I was coming home when coming back after seeing things in Nikko. The location is also good and close to a 7-11 and JR Nikko bus station.

The host was amazing. We felt so welcome, it was really our best stay during our trip! Few japanese are this kind, we even got an amazing breakfast! I recommend to stay two days: one for Toshogu shrine, and one for lake chuzenji

The host was the sweetest lady ever!! I felt so taken care of, she cooked a delicious huge breakfast each morning & made sure I was comfortable!! The room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. She even gave me handmade paper cranes and keychains! Truly felt at home being here! Thank you for your hospitality :)

“Typical family run Japanese home.”

It’s a family run house with the owners living on the first floor. Pros - typical Japanese family home, clean like a home (not professional grade clean, but still clean). Walkable from train station. Host was very friendly. Breakfast was awesome! A lot of food, vegetables, fruits, soup etc, it was like a lunch. Host also made a small key chain for us. My room had a nice view of the mountains. Tatami beds was okay, not too hard. Cons - shared bathroom since it’s a family home.

Super kind host, it seems that she absolutely loves what she is doing. Very helpful, gave us a lot of information so we could easily navigate the area in no time, even drove us to town to start exploring. She made us tasty breakfast free of charge, asked what we like and it was no problem that we are vegetarian. Look up ikkigai – that's what you experience there in action.

Lovely hostess. Served a huge breakfast, gave out tourist information, and drove us to the train station. The accommodation is very clean.

Host was really helpful. Arrived before check-in and let me store my luggage and provided maps, bus timetables and tourist attaction information and recommendations. Room was clean and warm (stayed in winter) and breakfast was amazing and gave the energy required for a full day of sightseeing. Location was a short walk to the train station and main bus terminal which enabled you to visit any of the great attactions Nikko has to offer. 100% recommed and to get breakfast included!

“It was a beautiful and typical Japanese experience”

the structure was perfect. very close to the train station (3 min walk) small but comfortable. the owners were welcoming and helpful, helping us understand the best itinerary for our trip and also offering us a rich and typical breakfast of traditional Japanese cuisine. the room was clean, tidy, comfortable and welcoming. we slept on a comfortable and soft futon. despite the low temperatures the room was warm and the view of the mountains beautiful.
