Great location and so nice to have a whole house after tiny hotel rooms! Very interesting staying in a actual Japanese home. Didn't meet the owner but the instructions were clear and helpful to check in and use the property. Futons were comfortable. We only stayed one night but wished we had longer!

It's a nice big house with all the amenities. It really feels like a family vacation home! There's enough room to park, a nice big kitchen, and a very comfortable old-fashioned kotatsu!

Good location between shrines & station. Despite the fact that its old and run-down, it was surprisingly clean, and we slept well. No problems with wi-fi. Stayed here early December with family of 4.

Located ~800m from tobu-nikko station and tucked away just off main street, but not noisy at all. Cute, more traditional Japanese style home, however evidently old as per listing photos. Good and clean bathroom facilities. Reasonably roomy for 2 people and in comparison to some Japanese hotels/accommodation, however watch you head on the door frames if you're over 5'7"!

Beautiful place, close to the station, the bus station for main tourist attractions, clean and tidy. Best ryokan so far, spacious and traditional and the owner is very kind and thoughtful. We would have spend more time if we could.

We loved this property! I would stay again. We loved the traditional atmosphere and traditional features of the house design and furniture. Location was perfect.

The house was set back from the street but easy to find. Being set back it was very quiet. There was so much room we had a bedroom, dining room, full kitchen and then a laundry and bathroom. Would say this was the best place you could stay in Nikko without a doubt.

Really liked the location- close to Toshogu shrine and many of the other key landmarks of Nikko, as well as the train stations for easy access. Very clean, traditional style (tatami) room in a beautiful house.

Very well located in town close to tobu nikko station, temples and restaurants It was also a typical Japanese house very quiet and clean.

The property is in a very central position, but there’s parking space if you need it, and kitchen and laundry facilities.
