Loved the onsen! The facilities were fantastic and the hotel had a lovely vibe. Really enjoyed my stay overall and wish I could've stayed longer!

A spotless, efficiently-run onsen hotel/hostel in beautiful surroundings reminiscent of Germany. The dormitory was spacious and far from full, with huge windows and a table to work at in the middle of the room. Upstairs the communal area was similarly large, and blessed with the best kitchen I have seen in any hostel. Towels, soap, and even cooking ingredients were provided.

Room are small but comfortable, very new and clean. Dinning area and kitchen is a plus point. Very nice and cosy. Onsen also very nice especially the outdoor pool

“Great place to stay”
We had a car so good access to Nikko and surrounding areas. Had a private double room, had all we needed and a fridge. Used the kitchen and lounge facilities. Staff helpful. Clean and tidy - stream running by the hostel and great view of the mountain. Would recommend. Didn't use the Onsen facilities but looked nice. Tattoo friendly.

Beautiful beautiful hostel. Love all of the K’s hostels I’ve visited - definitely recommend checking out other branches across Japan! Onsen was amazing, looking out over the forest. Shared lounge space was beautiful too, with hammocks out on the deck. Great hostel for both summer and winter !! Supermarket near by for prepping your own food in the well equipped kitchen. Puts you in shooting distance to visit all the good spots around Nikko, easy enough walk to the station which gets connects you to everywhere you need.

Very good deal to take to bus to hunter mountain shiobara and ski every day. A supermarket is available at waling distance. Tatami room is nice for a group of friends, the outdoor bath was great. Common area is large and cozy too. I recommend !

“Sugoii ne!!!”
The onsen was amazing to have access to, as well as the fact that there was coffee to hand, the staff were beyond super!! I’ll definitely be back in the off season!!! Sugoii ne!!!!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in and my only regret is not staying longer. Quiet, peaceful, gorgeous scenery, large common room, big fully equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable, the room was cozy and had enough space for packing. Highly recommend it. Station is at a walkable distance.

This is an amazing spot to relax and explore the surrounding area of Nikko! The onsen was amazing, I would highly recommend staying in Winter! The kitchen was great, common area clean and relaxing, and bedrooms comfortable, clean and new. I will be recommending k’s house Nikko to friends visiting Japan in the future

It was a home away from home. Very comfortable facilities, the onsen is amazing, everything is clean. The locationis close to a supermarket and train stations. The common area was very cozy.
