“Wonderful and kind host. Fabulous location nestled in nature.”

We loved Izumi and his B&B! Izumi was a very kind and generous host who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We loved that his home was out of the more touristy areas and nestled on the border of the national park, with gorgeous views of the creek and forest. He is an excellent cook (make sure you order the Japanese breakfast!), and his gentle attention to detail made us feel special. It was the best accommodation we have had in Japan! Thank you Izumi for your hospitality.

We had an incredible time staying with Izumi-san! The room was very comfortable and clean, and a beautiful location! Izumi-San was extremely kind, offering pick up and drop off from the train station, and was very helpful with guiding us around Nikko! The B&B is extremely clean, everything you need is available, amazing balcony view!

Nice view from the terrace, perfectly clean and comfortable premises. Izumi picked us from the station and drove us back, breakfasts (both continental and Japanese) were perfects.

Our host made a huge effort with breakfasts and was so welcoming. The tranquillity and the sound of the running stream was delightful. Even got yo see a monkey and heard they have wild deer to.

“A timeless stay, like a dream”

We like everything. The traditional room was comfortable and well-equipped. The location is in a quiet area near nature and a bus stop. The breakfast was high-quality and delicious. Izumi-san is a very good host, very attentive. He has excellent recommendations and taught us a lot about Japanese cuisine. We now know how to properly enjoy rice. It was our honeymoon, and we received very kind gestures from Rin and Naru that touched us deeply. We will gladly return because we fell in love with the place and the city.

“The best stay we had in Japan!!!!”

Staying at B&B Izumi Nikkō was the highlight of our Japan trip. Izumi is the most gracious host and we had everything we needed. The accomodation is beautiful and the view from our room/balcony was stunning. We saw deer and lots of native birds as we watched the tranquil creek flow by. Izumi cooked us traditional Japanese breakfast both mornings of our stay, and we both agree it was the best meal we have had in Japan. Izumi’s attention to detail is second to none, and the experience far surpassed any other stay we had during our 2 week trip. Thank you Izumi, we will definitely plan to return to you and Nikkō in the future. Absolutely wonderful.

“Cosy, beautiful BnB in the nature of Nikko with the best host ever!”

Izumi-san went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!! He picked us up from the station and gave us a small tour of Nikko so we understood where to go and how to get around. For breakfast he would describe what we were eating and how to enjoy it best as well which was so sweet of him, and the food was delicious. The location is in the woods and BEAUTIFUL, and even in winter we felt cosy and comfortable. It's away from all the hustle and bustle but very commutable by foot if you don't have mobility issues. I loved every moment here and our honeymoon was well spent in Nikko thanks to Izumi-san 😊 we will absolutely be back and recommend this stay to our family!!

“Absolutely excellent relaxing weekend stay with everything you need!”

We could not fault a single thing at this property! Izumi San was an excellent host offering to pick us up from the station and drop us at nearby places, as well as giving plenty of advice for sight seeing, restaurants and public transport recommendations. The BnB is easily accessible from the station using buses, and so are the major shrines and nearby lakes and waterfalls. Everything you need and more is in the cozy BnB rooms and the breakfast was a super tasty and well balanced spread perfect to start a day of exploring! The location is super quiet and relaxing, with a stream quite literally on the doorstep. We visited in winter time so it was a little chilly, but the scenery out of our bedroom window was great, and we could relax with a complimentary bath salt set! There were automatic heaters and a very good Aircon to keep us cozy at all times in the room. All the little details such as provided drinks, pyjamas, hotel style toiletries really exceeded our expectations for a perfect weekend away! Thank you very much!

“Excellent stay!”

A great place to stay! Izumi-san was the host who goes above and beyond. The breakfasts (we chose the Japanese breakfast) was delicious; he explained what each item was which was both helpful and interesting. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station upon arrival/departure, and also offered to drive us a few times to various spots for day trips, and eating in town. The location was great for us as it is on a quiet road with nature all around. We saw a lot of monkeys one day from our balcony which was fun. Thankyou Izumi-san!

“Nikko is well worth a visit and Izumi will make you very welcome”

Izumi Nikko is a special place to stay. The room has a view over woodland and a stream we saw a deer peacefully strolling through. The town is not far away and Izumi was so kind and helpful with lifts. The futons were really cosy - especially after coming in from the cold. Breakfast was really good , very generous helpings The bath was very relaxing after a hike through the countryside which is a must as Nikko and the lake area are busy but the walks ( maps provided at info spots) are beautiful. Thank you Izumi

“Great place to stay in Nikko”

Izumi-san is a wonderful host who is responsive and helpful. He gave great advice about visiting nearby attractions. Both the Japanese and American breakfast were simply wonderful. The location of the accommodation was close to the shrines. Highly recommended!

“Lovely Japan style room in a very pretty location.”

The B&B was in lovely surroundings - the room was great with a very pleasant outlook from the terrace onto woodland and a stream. The Japanese breakfasts (we had a different one on each of the 2 days). The host, Izumi, was so helpful - picking us up from the station and taking us into the town for dinner.

Very traditional looking place but very comfortable. The bathroom is very modern. Izumi is extremely kind and helpful and welcoming. We had such a perfect stay!

Izumi's Japanese breakfast was fantastic with something different every day. He also picked us up from the JR station. We saw deer in the local area.
