Overview
Hoho boasts a spacious natural hot spring baths, a Japanese garden with a pond and Japanese-style rooms with mountain views, 35km from Niigata Station, 44km from Niigata Airport. Free WiFi and free parking is available throughout the property, and a 24-hour operated convenience store is a 2-minute drive away. During your staying at Hoho, large public bath with open-air bath, bedrock bath, free-flowing private bath, tent sauna, bonfire,Karaoke at a nightclub, etc, various activities are available (some at an additional cost). Rooms overlook the Yahiko mountain range, and feature air conditioner, a tatami (woven mat) floor, low furniture and seating cushions. They are fitted with a TV, a fridge and an en suite bathroom. Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding, spread on the tatami floor. Breakfast is a Japanese-style set meal. The hotel serves Japanese-style kaiseki multi-course dishes for dinner at the dining area or restaurant. It has a coffee lounge and a terrace with peaceful garden views. Hoho is a 5-minute drive from Yahiko Shrine and Hozanshuzo Brewery can be reached in 3-minutes.

lovely stay outside the city set in a beautiful location with Mountain views and a beautiful garden. the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and made sure we were well informed and taken care of. The private bath was wonderful, and the room spacious and clean!

“A family friendly, great value for money ryokan at Niigata”
A family friendly onsen ryokan with great Japanese hospitality. Staff are very accommodating towards children. The meals (breakfast and dinner) are great - as per Niigata standards, they had 3 kinds of white rice for breakfast. They had a adequate sized outdoor bath and a big garden, which are really pretty. There are even 2 sheeps in the garden for petting. The kids had a great time here.

Proximity to shopping malls and restaurants. Room very clean with multiple charging points at the bedside. Hot water readily available in the bathroom, great for hot shower.
