You rent this for the location, which is absolutely phenomenal. Your living room and balcony face the ocean, which is across the street. Waking up and opening the shutters or sitting on the balcony for a glass of wine made the trip. In addition, you are in the old town, so dinner or a baguette or a coffee is a block or two away. There is a daily market a block away. There is a basic washing machine and dishwasher, so that really makes the trip easier with kids. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, and while a bit simple has everything you might need (except for hand soap). Living room furniture is comfortable and fits in with the view. A nice, large entryway for shoes and beach items. The apartment was a great size as well with three bedrooms, which nicely fit my husband and I and our three kids. We used the kitchen daily, and it had everything we needed. Nice is great city - a beach town, with a beautiful historic area and town center, but also a modern, charming shopping area, good access to public transpiration. We took day trips to other cities in the French Riviera, and all were nice in different ways, but Nice was the best in my opinion.

Everything: the apartment was exceptional, the location was spectacular (right on the sea front), the market was just outside the door as were restaurants, a great bread shop, bars, the opera house and photography museum, we were right in the heart of the Old Town.
