We booked La Civette with confidence because apparently My Casa manage over 100 apartments, so we assumed all would be professional. How wrong... Communication was poor and confusing. We had to go to their office to collect keys etc and then to the apartment. Not best pleased to find that there was no lift and several flights of stairs resulting in 60 steps. Although my husband is a fairly fit 67 year old, carrying heavy cases up, and down, wasn’t ideal, nor safe. They should’ve highlighted this. Apartment clean but tatty and sparsely provided for – with others we’ve rented privately there’s always been things like kitchen roll, tin foil etc, probably left from previous occupants, but not so here! TV didn’t work properly most channels pixelated and all French. They said we could access apps to watch English programmes etc, but we couldn’t. Complained about it and they sent someone round whilst we weren’t in, but still the same, so we had to watch programmes on an iPad. The ‘balcony’ is a joke, it’s very narrow with a piece of chipboard sitting on the air conditioning unit, accessed by going through a window! Also mentioned a city view, but there isn’t as such, just adjacent not very attractive buildings. Several low beams, so watch your head, and the wooden stairs in the apartment are difficult to see in low light at night. They are between both bedrooms and the bathroom with no hand rail.
