Overview
Set in the heart of Nelson Bay, Cote D’Azur offers modern self-contained apartments, most of which overlook the sea. Provided with an outdoor pool, gym and sauna, the property is a 5-minute walk from D'Albora Marina. All apartments are air conditioned and feature a separate living room with sofa and flat-screen TV with cable channels. Facilities include a dishwasher and washing machine, as well as 2 bathrooms. Nelson Bay Bowling Club is a 10-minute walk away. To reach the Horizons Golf Club you need to drive for 10 minutes. There is a major supermarket situated just 40 metres away.

“Great Location”
No Towels in room when we arrived but staff did supply soon after No Condiments in Apartment that was self contained. ie Salt, pepper, Olive oil, tissues etc

We had a deeply distressing experience at this property and would strongly advise other travellers—especially families—to avoid it. Upon arrival, we discovered a cockroach infestation, including insects on the bed, walls, and kitchen area. This was not an isolated sighting—there were multiple instances throughout the unit. We have video evidence of this. Despite raising the issue with management, the situation did not improve. While we were offered a room change and an extra night, the severity of the infestation meant we did not feel safe remaining on the property in any capacity. We were travelling with children and were extremely concerned about hygiene and health risks. As a result, both my husband and I stayed awake through the night to ensure the children were safe, and we made the decision to check out early after just one night, cutting our trip short. This property is listed as a 4-star accommodation, which makes this experience even more unacceptable. The conditions we encountered were clearly not fit for purpose and not as advertised. We have formally raised this issue with Booking.com and requested a refund due to the severity of the situation. If you are considering staying here, please be aware that our experience was far from what was advertised and had a significant impact on our family’s trip.

“The 3 of us were really liked the apartment. It was so close to all the cafes and shops.”
The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. There was 3 of us adults staying for a girls little getaway. It was nice having 2 bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable. Also the hotel is in a great location right in the heart of the town.

We had a great stay in apartment #49. The complex was lovely, the 3 bedroom apartment was very pretty and comfortable and had everything we needed. The washing machine and dryer came in very handy, and the 2 parking spaces was a bonus. The view from the balcony was gorgeous, and our kids loved the pool.

Stay was as expected and the property was neat and clean. We were overcharged the cost of the stay stating “additional fees and charges” which is against booking.com policy as the final price of the booking should be as the final confirmation price. I emailed to have the additional fees refunded and owner refused. Beware overcharging when you book.
