A very cute and peaceful property. Our host was very nice and caring. We had a wonderful experience learning how to cook local dishes! I definitely recommend this place if you stay in Negombo.

My wife and I loved our 3 night stay. The room was terrific; good air con, modern bathroom and a shaded seating area at the front. The pool was a welcome relief. Sonya and Bernard, and the staff, were perfect hosts. The food was amazing. Sonya organised a cooking class for me which.was extremely interesting and informative. We went with Sonya in a tuk tuk to buy the ingredients from a variety of fruit stalls, farmers market and supermarket. Really fascinating to see the huge variety of produce available. A friend of Sonya's then cooked the evening meal. She spoke perfect English and was a superstar creating 8 dishes which were sooo tasty. We had a great evening - dining and chatting with the other guests whilst we devoured the sublime food. A gem of a place and we would happily return in the future

It was relaxing with a great pool. Staff was helpful and great fun. Food was excellent and rooms were spacious and clean.

The owners are so friendly. Sonja buys the freshest seafood from the market & we enjoyed beautiful food bought that day. So if you like seafood this is the place to come, I was lucky enough to have shark steak which was fantastic. The rooms spotlessly clean & have nice new shower area.

Bernard and Sonja were great hosts. They were there for us when we needed anything and very helpful with advice. A highlight was the cookery course where Sonja took us shopping for the ingredients and their friend Asha showed us how to prepare Sri Lankan food. Thanks so much for everything

“Amazing!”

The food was amazing and they had great vegetarian options! We loved the pool and the garden area, and the rooms were so clean and nicely designed! The shower had warm water and good pressure! The owners were very nice and kind, even gave us bananas from their tree to snack on ☺️ The surrounding area was nice and quiet!

We only stayed for one night after booking at very short notice due to recent flooding, but we’re so glad we found this place. The host was incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming, and made us feel at home straight away. Her husband is a fantastic chef and the food was absolutely delicious, easily one of our favourite meals from the trip. The setting itself is beautiful and peaceful, and our only real regret is not having more time to properly enjoy it. A lovely last-minute find that turned into a real highlight! We’d happily return and would definitely recommend to others.

This is a great place to stay after you arrive from a long flight. The bed is comfy, the garden is very pretty and the hosts are very accommodating.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Sonja and Bernard. From the moment we arrived, Sonja welcomed us so warmly that we immediately felt at home. She went above and beyond to make our experience special, even taking us to the local market and staying genuinely involved throughout our visit. The accommodation itself was spotless and very well maintained. The pool was beautiful, and everything was perfectly in order—nothing to complain about at all. The location was also great: a bit quieter and just outside the busy center, yet still close to everything you might need. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and we would highly recommend staying with Sonja and Bernard.

Everything! I stayed at Millet’s Food Company on my very first night in Sri Lanka, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better welcome. The location is super convenient—easy to reach from the airport—but what truly sets this place apart is the peaceful, oasis-like atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The room was not only very comfortable but also thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed (and more!). The lush garden and tranquil pool area created the perfect environment to unwind, rest, and recharge before starting my trip. And the food? Absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the breakfast!! What also made the experience exceptional were the hosts, Sonja and Bernard. They run the place with so much heart, joy, and clear expertise—not just in hospitality and food, but in creating a warm and memorable guest experience. They're both genuinely wonderful people, and their passion for what they do shines through in every detail. All in all, a truly special place. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
