Great location. Private complex with a good swimming pool. The rooms were well appointed and stylish and the staff were attentive.

We loved the attention to detail and the sense of design style. It's a feast for the eyes and senses. It's kept in tip top condition . Nice pool with shady areas, carefully managed grounds. Good breakfast. The staff were delightful. It's a quiet, peaceful oasis - just a few steps along a lane that takes you away from the hustle and bustle. Negombo is a useful place to stay for proximity to the airport.

We traveled to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks as a couple from Germany in February 2026. We stayed in 9 different hotels. I'll only remark on the positive and negative things. Otherwise expect a hotel matching the category and price: Positive: - the room and the whole hotel and the pool was really nice Negative: - mosquito net had a free holes that needed patching

This was my favourite hotel in all of Sri Lanka! The staff were so friendly and helpful, we had a free upgrade to a larger room, and the facilities and open spaces were beautiful! I would recommend very highly. And they have tortoises on the property!

Quiet and secure, great location. Staff were fantastic, they looked after me so well. I was able to check in early with no problems and also had a room upgrade. The pool is very big, perfect temperature and has a jacuzzi built in.

Anyone familiar with Negombo knows it's loud, smelly, and not really cozy. Finding an oasis of calm like the Dickman Resort is a real treat. Everything here reflects good taste, and even though it's been around for 20 years, they clearly take care to keep everything in top condition. The pool is pleasantly cool, large, and deep enough for a proper swim, and the rooms are beautifully furnished and spacious. The staff is perfect—friendly and unobtrusive. If you're looking for peace and quiet in Negombo and a feeling of coming home, then the Dickman Resort is definitely the perfect place for it.

“A beautiful comfortable hotel in a quiet location”

We liked everything.The location was great down a quiet lane off the main drag.It was peaceful and relaxing and the pool was amazing.The staff were kind and helpful and gave us a great welcome and arranged taxi to the airport for us as it was our last night in Sri Lanka.We stayed in the blue suite which was really comfortable with a huge bed and bath. We walked to the beach (5 mins) for dinner and had a great breakfast the next morning in the hotel.

The location is very good

We had a wonderful overnight stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in Negombo. Our room was huge and luxurious with excellent air-conditioning, mini fridge and a spacious modern bathroom with an exceptionally good shower. The staff were all gracious and accommodating, and opur only regret is that we had just a single night stay. Overall a 10/10 stay- highly recommended!

“Oasis of peace, a real gem!”

Gorgeous place to unwind after a long flight. Perfect setting with large colorful rooms. The entire staff was fantastic, especially the manager Jude: attentive & helful, catering to our needs. Superb breakfast on offer. We seem to keep coming here when in Sri Lanka.
