“Fantastic Stay with great hosts who were a lot of fun”

Really lovely way to start our Sri Lanka trip , the property is situated just a little way out of Negombo town, but easy access via tuk tuk or car. We preferred being just a little bit out of town as it was very peaceful , almost like an oasis . Amilla and Rasica were great hosts and couldn't do enough to make our stay more comfortable. They gladly prepared some home cooked meals that were absolutely fantastic (better than in some of the restaurants !)

“Quiet, peaceful perfect”

A short drive from the airport in a very quiet location in Negombo. We were the only guests staying for 4 nights and the 2 members of staff looked after us very well. They cooked breakfast (there is a real mix of Sri Lanka curry, not for us really for breakfast, but plenty fruit and eggs.) They will prepare lunch and evening meals for a small cost too but if u want more choice you will need to hire a tuk tuk to take you 20mins to the town. We did eat at a locals house called Crab Cove and they made us delicious chicken curry fried prawns for £10. If it’s a quiet get away from it all this is the place. If u want a wide choice Central Negombo is for you.

Very good overall package. Nice house with beautiful decorations, calm surrounding. We were there with friends and had the villa to ourselves. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious.

“The perfect stopover in Sri Lanka”

I arrived at Astig Villa after what turned into a long journey from Arugam Bay – a ride that should have taken 4.5 hours stretched to 9.5, and by the time I arrived it was already night. The staff welcomed me so warmly and even prepared dinner for me, which was such a relief after a difficult day of travel. I had been travelling around Sri Lanka for two weeks, and staying here was exactly what I needed – a chance to relax by the beautiful pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff looked after me so well, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the owner was always available if I needed anything. He even organised a tuk tuk to take me into town, which was especially helpful in an area I wasn’t yet familiar with. What makes Astig Villa so special is the personal touch – it feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. I’d especially recommend it to anyone flying into Sri Lanka late at night, as it’s very close to the airport, and the nearby lagoon is a beautiful spot to watch the fishermen go by. Whether you’re starting or ending your Sri Lankan journey, this is the perfect place to stay.

A good startingpoint of a trip through Sri Lanka. Nice pool, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and good service . Deliciously, fresh pepared food. The men are great cooks!

Nicely located, calm, great setup, spacious, 25m pool, nice staff, good meals!
