“Biedermeier cute directly on the Saale river.”
Staying just outside a historic town ensures you have plenty of parking.Our room (Luise of Prussia) was absolutely sweet- Biedermeier romantic, large bathroom, river and town views. Our friends stayed in a medieval themed room (Uta) like the statue in the cathedral.Although we were the only guests the breakfast choice was tremendous. The cleaning lady allowed us to wash our stuff and hang it up to dry as well- unheard of service. Please tell the reception your arrival time, or they need to hang around when out of season. Dinner (1) in recommended Zur Henne (sort of Prussian vibe, venison and dumplings) and (2) Hotel Zufriedenheit, very swish. Town has Minster with enigmatic female founding statues and special brush shop for handmade brushes (painting, cleaning, massage).

very nice and comfortable room, gorgeous bathroom. I advise to take breakfast , it is good verity , quality of product , cozy atmosphere. and generally pretty nice place for dinner. best option for bike travellers.
