Check in was fine, smooth process,was there 7 days. Some travellers l noticed had some issues with understanding process, maybe didn't read the email emails sent by property, or bad signal to travellers phone. Kitchen, microwave, kettle. Location is good to public transport, shops, restaurants, launderette is 3 minutes away, bars. A very good tourist information is 15 minutes away, near bus/train station, for enquiries about transport, place to visit. Brilliant

Relaxed atmosphere. I stayed 6 days. Reception staff helpful. Ablution facilities excellent: kitchen ok:cooker, microwave. Shops, restaurants and bars with in 15 minutes walk. The reception area is a good place to communicate with strangers, about their travels and aims while in Japan.

“Had a great experience staying here!”
I slept in a twin-room by myself and it was fantastic. Very clean and spacious, comfortable bed! Wide common room to hang out in, lovely little kitchen, walking distance to Nara Station! The deer details in the room made me happy!

A very nice place at the middle distance between the train station and Nara park. Quiet area, plenty of restaurants or markets nearby. Very clean, comfortable room. The kitchen has basic amenities.

Very good price. Room is clean and has a bath. Little bit small for a couple with luggage but value for money is great! Has a common kitchen and a smoking area. Laundry and transportation we’re near by. Would recommend

“Nice affordable hostel”
Nice hostel, nice price deal, great bed. Minus point: there’s nobody at the reception until 15:00. The owner does not respond to telephone calls or messages via Booking.com. Self checkout. Communication and customer care need much improvement.

“Great place to stay in Nara for very good money”
We were 100% satisfied with the Nara Deer Hostel. Very good money for this level of accommodstion. Close to both the railway station 5-10 mins, 7 mins to 7/11, nice neighbourhood with old japanese houses. 15 mins to Tourist info and starting point to all the atractive locations. Couldn’t ask for more. Rooms are small, BUT you have cozy shared living room with 2 tables and couch and of course, fully equipped kitchen. Btw we loved the japanese wibe of the place. Self-check in etc. Definitely recommend.
