The facilities looked a bit tawdry but were clean & comfortable apart from the strong smell of cigarette smoke. The boarded up windows with no glass were disconcerting.

“Enjoyable”
It is a love hotel, but for the amount you it per night compared to the size of the bed and amount of room you get it is very much worth it, the only downside is it’s a bit out of the way in Nara you will likely have to get a taxi or bus to get around

So, it’s a love hotel. Didn’t realise that. But it was actually really nice. There was a massage chair in the room, which I loved. It’s probably better if you don’t go alone. There are lots of amenities included that would make it really fun with more than one person. But, if you do go alone, they’ll give you breakfast for two (all for yourself) and it’s only a 30-40 minute nice-ish walk to Nara Park.
