“Amazing host, ryokan and breakfast!”
Liked everything! 1) the host is amazing and true host! Very kind helpful and sweet! 2) the ryokan is very nice and comfortable as well as the rest of facilities. 3) the host let us check in at 10AM, I have never had this in my whole life, and I travel a lot, excellent host. 4) breakfast was delicious and quite a variety.

The experience was both genuine and deeply immersive. The property is conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easy to get around. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the owner. Her kindness, care, and genuine warmth went far beyond expectations—she made us feel not just welcomed, but truly looked after at every moment. Breakfast deserves a special mention: the traditional Japanese option was simply outstanding, easily the best we had during our trip in Japan. We absolutely recommend this place to anyone seeking a memorable experience in Japan.

“Special stay in Nara”
This is a lovely house with a lovely host if you’d like to experience staying in a Japanese house. The owner was so lovely and helpful — when we arrived she had prepared the room for us and it was nice and warm. The home-made breakfast was the cherry on top — we went for the Japanese option and it had different small plates to try, like a set menu. Definitely worth staying at Hotobil!

Even though the place is a little out of the way it is so worthwhile for the wonderful Japanese hospitality and an absolute feast for breakfast. We chose Japanese rather than western it was amazing and absolutely delicious.

“Great breakfast”
Traditional house, very nice breakfast, quiet. Location was good, just outside the tourist area. Parking available right nextdoor. The inn is just 2 rooms.
