“Simple, comfortable place for exploring Naoshima”

We liked the simplicity and comfort of the guesthouse. It would be useful to have proper cups, plates and cutlery for guests.

“Ok for a short stay stay”

The building has a bus stop right in front, making it convenient to get around, and is also a quick (and nice) walk to the Naoshima New Museum of Art. The restaurant downstairs is quite good and reasonably priced. The room itself is simple, but fairly comfortable.

The room are newly renovated. The shower is inside the room. You also have washing machines at the common area

The couple that run the acomodation and noodle restaurant are very helpful and friendly. The accomodation is well located. The restaurant serves excellent food and is good value.

“Good value for money, but there are better options that are better located.”

Good little place, but we found it a little sparse. Clean and very secure. Your in one of three rooms attached to a common area with a table , washing machine etc. Its upstairs 1 floor with no lift. 2 low beds with a small table, no couch or chairs and 1 very small window. Its fine for 1-2 nights but not any not longer. Close to the bus stop from the ferry. The couple who own it also run a restaurant downstairs and there are two other restaurants within 2 mins walk. Walk 7 mins to Naoshima Coffee for one of the best (def top 5) Cafe views in the world ! Good bathroom , good water pressure

“Great accommodation on Naoshima”

This is basic but very clean and comfortable accommodation on Naoshima. It is not in the main accommodation areas on the island but is easily accessible via the town bus, and a short 12 minute walk to the Benesse shuttle. The people that run the accommodation are lovely. It is situated above a Ramen restaurant, which they also run, and which is delicious. I highly recommend for a very good value and comfortable stay on Naoshima.

The room is so beautiful, clean and comfortable. Water bottles are provided and replaced every day in the fridge. The washing machines are easy to use. The main town is only a 15 min walk away. The host was very kind and gave us pocky on our last night!

“Excellent choice”

This hotel is a very good choice. Its location is great there is a bus stop outside the property. The couple who run the hotel are warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel that is very convenient. This choice of hotel enhanced my experience of Naoshima.

Thoughtfully designed clean and simple accomodation with friendly and helpful staff. A stones throw away from the bus stop and walking distance to the iconic yellow pumpkin.

“Nothing but lovely, unforgettable memories!”

The owner, his wife (presumably) and a young woman staff are all friendly and welcoming. Even a lift to the port on our way home was provided, which was really appreciated, given my bad knee. The food menu is absolutely ample and what we had was very tasty. We emptied all the plates even though feeling full!

Good quiet location, good access to both the Benesse art precinct and Naoshima, bus stop out the door, very clean. The host runs a very good local ramen restaurant downstairs!

We liked that it was close to Benesse and had a restaurant below with delicious food and friendly dedicated service. Reasonably sized room.

Perfect place, very very nice people that run this place

The room was simple and everything worked well. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant below was useful and the food was good. The accommodation was excellent value and was convenient for visiting the art sites.

Perfect location. Room is basic but has everything you need. Restaurant downstairs with some delicious noodle curry.

Excellent room with privacy bathroom and access to kettle. Clean comfortable and helpful staff. It’s attached to a restaurant which serves good straightforward ramen etc and is the best option as not much else around. Not that close to the port but it’s right by a bus stop so easy access.

A very igg disappointment was the lack of breakfast ser.

Rooms on the top of a small but deservedly well known local eatery (in an island where finding evening supper is the hardest sport). It is run by a great couple who tries to help you as much as they can. The room was big and the Japanese-style breakfast filling. The position is within walking distance of the yellow pumpkin and just in front of the bus stop.

comfortable, excellent facilities, bus stop outside, Kenso the owner & Wife were extremely friendly and helpful. Their Restaurant below us served amazing food
