Stayed here years ago when it was simple and rustic. Improvements to dining and breakfast rooms are stunning. Beautiful view from our balcony room - worth the extra.

“A great hotel in a lovely village”

I have been coming to Najac for over fifty years. There was a short gap after the hotel changed hands when I deserted it for the hotel near the station. More recently I have come back to l’Oustal, having missed being up in the village with its views and sense of peace, not least in the evening. My room was beautiful with a particularly lovely view north across the gorges. Also supremely comfortable with windows that opened properly – though see my comments below. Staff are lovely; there is a wonderful informality about the place. It’s a bit like living in someone’s home whilst benefitting from all the advantages of the types of service that you would expect in a hotel. I would really recommend asking the waiting staff to choose meals and wines for you. They might not appreciate my saying this; but I can only say that the more I put myself in their hands, the better the food and drink that I ended up with.

The hotel is in a beautiful area good parking and in the town centre. The staff very friendly and English speaking the food in the restaurant was excellent

The extra warm welcome and service of the owners and staff. The excellent cuisine Nice, clean and confortable room. The location at the entrance of a magnificant medevial place.

We were unable to arrive at our planned time due to the unexpected road issue. The hotel manager waited for us until 9:00pm and offered to prepare foods for us. She upgraded our room for us to take sunrise picture of the castle there. The location is perfect and has parking in front of the building. Very clean and comfortable.

This is the perfect traditional country hotel of your dreams! It was our 3rd visit and every time it just gets better. Najac is a wonderful village and the hotel backs onto the large open square. We stayed in a lovely quiet room that overlooked the countryside. It was serenely furnished. The restaurant is of a very high standard and dining there was a highlight of our trip. An historic building in a stunning location. Even though we came during the week so could not sample the special 'weekend menu', the prix-fixe meal we had was excellent. The staff were very helpful.
