Fantastic location a few minutes drive from the motorway. It has secure private parking within the grounds. The accommodation is modern and spotlessly clean. The beds are wonderful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Fabulous setting in a lovely area with a wonderful host and very friendly feline! Very quiet and peaceful after a very busy road journey from the Pyrenees. Swimming pool a genuine bonus and perfect respite after a hard day's travel. A handy downstairs studio with a microwave and kitchenette. Secure, private parking: Look out for a grey sliding gate with a gated archway as an entrance location marker. Perfect stop-off point for heading to the northern ports. We will be back on our next visit through France. Thank you Veronique and Mimix!

The property is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. It’s even better in person. We had a lovely welcome from the owner, she even put us in an air conditioned room and ordered us pizza’s to collect, as we arrived later than expected. It was a great stop off for us on the way to the Dordogne. There is an Intermarché on the doorstep which was great to refuel and grab snacks for our onward journey. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you

Everything! Nice to have use of a pool. Rooms well thought out with a small private terrace to sit out on. Also small kitchen with microwave so we could prepare a small meal. Perfect location as a stopover on our walking route.

Fabulous place with everything you need. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfast was wonderful, so much to eat and a lovely terrace to eat on. The location is great as it was just off the main road. The host was so lovely she advised us on places to eat locally. The accommodation is separate from the Host house so it didn't feel like staying in someone's house, it felt private. Lastly the pool ..... it was absolutely wonderful and real bonus to a beautiful place. L’esprit du Clain had all the luxury without the price tag! I would stay here again and again, maybe 2 nights next time to explore the area more.

Lovely setting with wonderful pool although we weren’t there long enough to make the most of it. Accommodation was very clean and all done to a high spec. Host is friendly too so all in all, a very pleasant place to stay!

This was our second time at L’Esprit du Clain and this time we stayed for longer. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. Everything is modern and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble and the welcome is lovely. Everywhere is clean and well looked after. The pool is super and the grounds are lovely. Breakfast is ample and varied. The property is well situated for visiting highlights of the region. We appreciated the use of the small kitchen so we could prepare lunch or an evening meal.
