Great location, close to Zenkoji temple. The home is nice, friendly, helpful staff. Very traditional japaneses style. The tour and attending the prayer ceremony was really good.

“Traditional Inn on Temple Grounds”

This is a very nice inn, set on temple grounds. Main advantage is its location. It is really convinient. Inn offers temple sightseeing with guide, which we very much enjoyed. Breakfast is vegetarian and japanise - though there were buna and jam available. Onsen was great!

Great temple lodging within the Zenkoji complex. Dinner and breakfast (both vegetarian) weas wonderful. We visited in winter but were cosy and warm despite snow outside! The team connected us with an English speaking guide, Ken-san, for the morning prayer ceremony, who couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. He spent a few hours with us to explain the history of the temple and the walk us through the ceremony itself, and gave us heaps of extra information. The bookable bath was lovely in the evening too :)

“A very good experience at a ryokan.”

It is near to Zenkoji Temple. Love the morning prayer at the temple. It is a traditional ryokan. The breakfast is awesome. We stayed 4 night. Snow fell on the first night. The view from our window was breathtaking.

The place, you are so close to the temple and the staff is so nice

The building is a temple! And included is the option to have a tour of Zenko-Ji which i cannot recommend enough. Learnt so much, had a magical experience and even got the opportunity to experience morning service and get blessed! Ken is the best <3

Nice traditional accommodation associated to the Zenko-ji temple, which means that from here it's possible to take part in the morning prayer and visit the temple. It was a very interesting experience and I strongly advise it. Meals were very good. The facility has private hot baths (onsen) that can be booked for free, on a first come, first served basis. Staff doesn't speak English, but they are masters at using Google Translate and they were always friendly and helpful.
