“Ripped me off!”
The booking I made through booking.com stated exactly how much I should pay at the property including local taxes. I paid for the booking on arrival at the hotel. When I returned home I realised I had been overcharged, I had paid for the local taxes again, on top of the ones already included in the booking.com amount. I emailed the hotel asking for a refund of the difference and they refused. The booking.com voucher which I sent them explicity clearly states this is the amount to be paid at the hotel and itemises out that the price stated includes local taxes.
