The hosts are very welcoming. It felt like going home. And host is very good at cooking so if you have a chance, please give it a try.

“Perfect location, amazing vibe, and the warmest hosts”

We absolutely loved our stay at Björk! It’s a warm, quiet, comfortable and cozy lodge perfectly tucked between Suginohara and Akakura, making it super easy to reach the slopes (less than a 10-minute drive). The vibe is incredibly relaxing and peaceful. The home-cooked meals are fantastic, and the breakfast is refined and amazing. But the best part was the hospitality, Mamiko and Atsushi are genuinely beautiful people who fill the lodge with wonderful energy.

“A real surprise”

Well located between Suginohara and Akakura ski resorts in a very cozy and private area. The property is managed by a lovely Japanese couple which lives in this beautiful wooden house and supports you with kindness through your stay. I enjoyed my time after skiing in the common areas of the house playing some vinyls, enjoying a sake and having a chat with the other guests and Mamiko. Private parking is available and many onsens are just few steps from the property.

Bjork is a gem of a lodge. Mamiko and Atsushi are very kind and attentive hosts. Comfy beds, fluffy duvets, delicious home cooked meals. A highlight was Mamiko cooking gluten free for our daughter who is coeliac. Also a lovely Onsen nearby. Very easy drive to nearby ski fields.

Could not recommend this beautiful lodge more!! 11/10 in every aspect. The lodge itself is so cozy and the best place to spend time when your not on the slopes. The food is amazing, the best sauté chicken with lemon butter sauce you’ll ever have. Not to mention the burnt basque cheesecake. Highly recommend getting your breakfast included and trying out whatever catches your eye on the dinner menu, you won’t be disappointed. The owners, Atsushi and Mamiko are very generous and go out of their way to make sure each and every guest feels welcomed and looked after. We will definitely be back!!

Great food and location

Bjork is probably one of the best lodges in Myoko, offering more than just a place to sleep but a home with warm company. The facilities of Bjork exceeds all expectations; A dedicated area for snow sport gears storage and a stove to help dry clothes, gloves, etc. Spacious bathrooms for both comfortable showers and also a tub to soak in for those who wish to relax after a long day. Great common room where guests can come to hang out or eat delicious home cooked meals by the hosts while listening to wonderful music. The room comes with soft beds and heated floor assuring you the best rest after being out in freezing temperatures. The parking is easy to access and is near to the entrance making it easy to transfer your gears around at the start and end of the day. The hosts were very welcoming, attentive and helpful. We have zero complaints or any negative experiences staying here and will definitely return given another opportunity.

“Most heartwarming place we’ve even been to!!!”

We had the most beautiful stay at Mamiko and Atsushi’s place. You can really tell how dedicated they are towards this place and how much love they put into it. Both welcomed us in such a heartwarming way. The food was incredible (best chicken sauté we ever had), the rooms were super cozy and comfortable, everything was really clean and Mamiko and Atsushi were unbelievably helpful. We are so very sad to leave and will definitely come back one day!!!

Everything! The lovely and accommodating hosts, the home cooked meals, the cosy feel, the decor. One of the best places we have stayed. Suited us perfectly.

This was a perfect stay for us. It’s a good base for hiking in the national park, very peaceful and chill. It’s b an b style accommodation and the host, Mamiko, is very kind and cool! The food was also excellent- healthy and fresh. We will come back!

This is a lovely vacation property. An onset is located close by in the Lime Hotel, walking distance from the hotel. We had a traditional Japanese breakfast each morning of our stay.
