“Living the Dream”
We were so delighted to be one of the first guests to return to this beautiful resort after being closed for four months. Winter has gone with spring giving us the opportunity to enjoy this remarkable location. Well done to everyone, we had the very best overnight stay. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

“Lovely onsen but not as quiet and peaceful as it usually is”
This was my fourth time to visit the Joetsu Myoko Resort. I love how quiet and peaceful it usually is, and the amazing breakfast. However, this time I was quite dissapointed. It was summer holidays and so the hotel was very busy and noisy. I was told that the breakfast room had been refurbished - bigger and better. Breakfast was previously served in a room with amazing views of the golf course and the mountains - it was always peaceful and serene. Now, it is served in a much larger and louder room with no views of anything. The menu has also changed and did not have the same number of special dishes as it had before. The 'new and improved' breakfast was not an improvement in my opinion. The onsen was wonderful as always and the room was clean and comfy. I was also happily surprised when the desk staff spoke to me in English (first time in 4 visits and very much appreciated.) It is a long way to drive if you are not going there to play golf - I used to go for the amazing breakfast but will no longer be doing so.

“Nice place to stay in the mountains”
Near the hotel there is a beautiful landscape, mountains and forest. Good breakfast, lots of different fruits, European and Japanese cuisine.
