Pipes a bit noisy

The bed was comfortable and the loaction was very peaceful. Parking was just in front. We had a car so no problem to travel to get food but otherwise come prepared with some supplies.

The most beatiful and peaceful place where I have been for long time. If you go there ask to stay in the monastra, and possibly ask for suite Dona Maior!

The recently renovated hostel is set in a big traditional house ,with a village bar at the ground floor . The rooms are of good size, very simple , quite monastic in the feeling they give . The bathrooms are very clean and well done . There is a garden , covered by a big fig tree with tables and chairs and a well equipped large shed with a BBQ and a pizza oven to prepare your own diner if you wish so . Located next to the monastery building , the hostel is quiet , with a very nice beach accessible by walk and a few kilometers from Muxia .the staff is nice and discreet .

Everything. You feel like being in a museum. Quiet area and surroundings. Better staying here than in Muxia.

The lady who signed me in was very helpful, finding my backpack at the bar across the street and finding me a taxi for the morning to go back to muxia for a bus

We stayed in the suite and it was outstanding and it was very peaceful and with the luxury of a spa bath. Very spacious. They also have huge dormitories and some double rooms. There is a kitchen with fridge freezer and microwave available to use as well. Breakfast basic but adequate and the whole outstanding value for money. Superb views down into the valley and beautiful church on site. A must for something a bit out of the ordinary.

The lovely peaceful location. We had chosen the suite which was huge with a large spa bath which was accessed through the communal area but had its own garden and terrace area. The window opened onto open countryside. On the pilgrim route there was a bar and restaurant over the road with excellent value for money meals and terraces front and back so that you could be in the sun or shade as you prefer. The staff were very welcoming and gave us a guided tour of the chapel which was normally locked.
