“Authentic Omani Guesthouse”
I had a very pleasant stay at this guesthouse in Oman. The place has a lovely style, is very comfortable, and creates a relaxing atmosphere. Mubarak was extremely kind and welcoming, he kindly offered me breakfast and helped me with my luggage, which I really appreciated. His hospitality made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. I would also like to thank Mahfoudh for arranging a late check-out, which was very helpful and made my departure much easier. Overall, a very nice experience with thoughtful and attentive service. Nihara and her husband are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us warmly and attended to all questions and needs without any problems. The fort house is in a great location to visit rest of Mutrah and most importantly, has great coffee! We loved our stay here.

“Amazing ❤️”
Such a lovely place in the heart of old Muscat❤️ I’d say it’s PERFECT. Nothing to add. Room is wonderful, has everything you need. Location is more than the best, close to the embankment, to the souk and to the hikes. Breakfast is for additional charge, but it’s huuuuge and includes even real coffee (cappuccino, americano, latte etc). Internet is fast. Hosts are lovely. Also the old-stylish decorations are so nice🥰 I enjoyed my stay, thank you so much!

There was not a single thing I didn't like. The cleaning is flawless. White soft bed linen. Confortable bed and pillows. All is white to perfection. Spacious and bright rooms. The breakfast is a treat to the senses. So glad I didn't skip it. The neighborhood is a wonder. Boys playing quietly in the surroundings. Such a safe and respectful place. Genuine hospitality!! I felt at home. Will come back and highly recommend.

Fort Guesthouse in Muscat was a wonderful choice for our short stay in Oman. As we only had a one-day layover, this was the only place we experienced — and it truly left a great impression. From the very beginning, the host was absolutely exceptional — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. We were especially grateful for the early check-in, which made a big difference after our journey and allowed us to make the most of our limited time. What we loved most was the traditional spirit of the place. The guesthouse has an authentic Omani charm, offering a glimpse into the local culture and atmosphere, which made our brief visit feel more meaningful and special. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Even in such a short time, we felt relaxed and well taken care of. For anyone passing through Muscat, even just for a layover, Fort Guesthouse is a lovely and authentic place to stay.

The location. It’s right behind the Muttrah Fort and Corniche. A very convenient location if you want to explore the souk and walk along the corniche and get the old town vibe.
