Excellent breakfast with ingredients from the garden. The home made pomelo marmalade was fantastic! I also liked how wooden features are incorporated in the room interior.

“Wonderful place to stay in Locarno”

The location is fantastic, a few minutes by foot to the train station, a few minutes to the lake and a short walk to the Piazza Grande and center of town. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and are fluent in several languages. The weather was good most mornings and we could enjoy the delicious breakfast outside in the lovely garden. The rooms are small but comfortable and modern.

We stayed at the Meat & Bed hotel in Locarno from 12 to 14 August 2022. I highly recommend this hotel, for several reasons. It has an excellent location, very close to the train station and to the main attractions in Locarno. The rooms are cozy, clean and well-fitted. Breakfast is very tasteful, particularly when you enjoy it outside on the terrace. A special word must be said about the staff: Lilian, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until our departure. She helps create a warm and family-like atmosphere that made our stay all the more enjoyable. Don't miss the very refreshing drink she prepares with their home-made lime-based beverage.

“Lovely stay in a renovated multi-story house”

Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.

“Fantastic stay in Locarno”

The bed was very comfy, shower great, breakfast, drinks and evening meal in the garden all excellent. Hosts really friendly. Lovely walk along the lake into Locarno and very convenient for the train station. Would highly recommend.

Location is very central, family suite, lovely garden to relax in, air conditioning for hot summer days, they have a butcher downstairs, good breakfast, afternoon drinks and snacks, and you get the Ticino Ticket.

was a very personal experience. the place is family run with a lot of attention to hospitality and details. the breakfast buffet is great with many home made items and so is the little garden

The owners were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the lake and there are a lot of lovely restaurants right along the lake which are around a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel room was spotless and we had a lovely relaxing breakfast in the garden.
