Did not really correspond to the pictures. Very noisy, could hear everything in the room aside and even toilets and some people stayed in the common area during the night and it was very noisy

Great location overlooking the river. Staff were helpful giving details of the viewing point walks. The porter always welcomed us with a smile. It is a romantic, luxurious place to stay just outside the bustle of the town.

Nice location

“Great location, good room, great hosts.”

The location was superb, with a great view over the valley and setting sun. We had the top floor room, furthest along and it was a nice big room. We booked a twin room and this had one double and one single bed. We liked the helpful map of walks of the area and did some of those. We liked the provision of a kettle and cups, and having the table and chairs outside. The hosts, Gabriel and Penny, were great and offered tips and advice. I think it’s one of the better rooms to stay in the area. We were pleased with our stay.

Outstanding view of the Nam Ou and lazy afternoons watching the village go about its business. Gabriel and Penny are both very welcoming and quick to offer any assistance.

We had a great stay in Muang Ngoy. Penny & Gabriel were excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. Room was quite basic but everything we needed - clean, comfy bed, hot shower, air con and a riverview hammock on the balcony. Breakfast was good.

Great view from the balcony, and that’s where it ends. Besides the owners son who was very pleasant and spoke perfect English, unfortunately he is just a mouthpiece though for very stingy owners!

The Village is a Gem. Location great. Owner is kind and helpful . A lovely couple . Good Value. Would of course return. Food at their restaurant is tasty and they make their own bread . Good Breakfast. They have a veriety of Rooms at good prices. ++++

Fantastic stay by the river. Beautiful and clean bungalow! Penny is a wonderful host with bungalows for every budget. She helps you with everything! Her restaurant also serves great food, including freshly baked bread and pizzas.
