Very relaxing and welcoming place

The location is fantastic, the view is just stunning and the scenery peacefull and quiet.

Everything, it was so peaceful. Staff were so friendly and helpful. It was like a little corner of paradise, beach swims before and after tourists. Limited internet access made us talk and connect with our wonderful surroundings.

“Horrible, Frustrating, Unwelcoming”

DON’T GO HERE! So many issues with this place! Avoid going here. - The room was filled with bugs. Cockroaches in the bed and beetles everywhere. - There was woodworm, so all your stuff will be covered in wood and you will hear them all night - The staff is very unwelcoming and unfriendly. When told of the issues they didn’t apologize. - The driver we booked here was an hour (!!!) late - The food menu is very limited and what they had was awful - There is no water pressure, so showering isn’t possible. There are many great hotels in Zanzibar that stand out in hospitality and service. This is clearly not it. Save yourself from frustration and a bad holiday.

The staff were absolutely lovely and so polite! They really tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible and helped out when needed. Even the askari too! The owner was also the loveliest person! We loved his energy! The view from our bungalow was amazing! The breakfast was quite filling, the Spanish omelette was just like the one at home. The cats there were probably one of my favorite thing there.

The view is so beautiful. You can see and hear the ocean while lying in bed. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious at the restaurant. Sweet dogs and cats. Enjoyed every moment of our short stay and witnessed both moonrise and sunrise from our terrace.

The room was a little hut, a simple construction like locals huts a built, ecerything was clean and the view of the bungalow was just amazing. It's just the ocean and you. It was fantastic.

Absolutely amazing views from bed and restaurant, stunning beach sometimes overrun by tourists,bed comfy, room well designed, restaurant has very limited, expensive menu but tasty food, cocktails need improvement, very relaxing without hawkers, very unique surroundings

The location is really amazing and the breakfast was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay at Mtende and felt really relaxed when we left. Unwind and connect with nature.
