“Great fun!”
The location is fantastic, right on the Göta Canal. Lots of cultural and industrial history. Lovely old buiildings and tow paths to walk along. Mallboden has a thriving cafe business, but it closes early so does not disturbe one's sleep.

“Well worth a stay”
Beautiful location and a nice cafe serving the best waffles in Sweden. Clean apartment with access to new washrooms. Close to Motala city centre and to lovely hikes, either along the Göta Kanal or national park.

“Nice place by the canal”
We stayed there for one night. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean and tidy, especially the completely new plumbing house. We had a good time at Mallboden.

Great place, great café with incredible tarte flambee and waffles, very kind host, and nice area located at the Gota channel! Perfectly renovated bath house. We really can recommend this location in Motala!

“Wonderful and relaxed place”
Wonderful location directly next to the Göta Kanal, bike and walking trails lead everywhere. Very childfriendly, the kids loved the great playground behind the Cafe. Clean and cosy apartment with historic flair. Free coffee for breakfast in the cafe. The cafe serves delicious waffles.

“It was a beautiful location and we loved our stay here”
Location was excellent just beside the Gota canal. We took long walks around the canal . Also there is a lock at walking distance. Loved the food in the cafe. We used Local transport to come here and visit all the nearby attraction so it is a great stay even for those who dont have car.

“Cozy room & tasty waffles”
A cozy room with an old-time decoration / feel. The waffles in the cafe downstairs were very good; the strawberry jam and vanilla icecream were the best I've ever tasted!

“Lovely views, brilliant service, amazing room and amenities”
The location was fantastic with amazing views of Gota Kanal, and the facilities exceeded expectations. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the food served was excellent! The room was perfect, good size, all amenities available. The only thing I would suggest are that some new beds/mattresses may be needed as I got a terrible neck/back pain from the beds.

Building we stayed in was very old and had been refurbished keeping all old features. Beautiful with a lot of history. Beautiful setting by the canal. Playground next door for the kids. Facilities (showers, toilets, laundry room etc) brand new and very clean.

“Beautiful nature and a great little home away from home.”
The house was perfectly cleaned and everything was ready for us. The shared bathrooms were very clean. The location is right beside GötaKanal which made the whole thing picturesque. All cleaning supplies and kitchen utensils were provided. the price makes up for all the excellent facilities.
