“Great location , and great staff !”

Such a good location for the National park . I liked the showers with lots of hot water . But what makes the property is the staff . I got a lovely welcome from Nazareth and his team . He arranged a great jeep and driver , Martin , to take us to the park each day which worked out so well . The waiting staff were so polite and accommodating . A really great visit and would recommend .

location is absolutely stunning with a great host. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The location, the surrounding wilderness and the quietness that the premises offered was very beautiful.

It's highly recommended hotel if you want to stay near Mikumi national park, it's close to the park (10-15 minutes driving), clean and comfortable, the food is good and price is not high, the night is very quiet. The staffs are nice.

Quiet location. Great for Mikumi game drive. Local wildlife was nice to see. Comfy beds with good mosquito nets and nice firepit for evenings.

The stay was great, facilities had everything you need and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Food fantastic and staff very helpful. The campfire in the evening was great to sit and have a few beers around after a day of safari.

“Great Hotel. Great location for the National Park”

The Mantis Lodge was recommended to us by a party of German University Students we met in Morogoro. It exceeded our expectations by far. The owner of the lodge was a lovely man and very helpful, as were his courteous staff. The lodge is well placed for visiting the National Park and the owner will arrange good inexpensive Safaris.  There are several ensuite lodges spaced around a central green square. Each lodge is well equipped with a bedroom and private bathroom, with a hot shower, wash basin, with hot water, and a toilet. Our bedroom had a double and single bed, both with mosquito nets, which we didn't need. The room was air-conditioned. All the facilities in the room were clean and tidy. There are problems with the electrical power in Tanzania, as it cuts out from time to time, but the complex has its own generator, which kicks in to power essential services like lights etc. The breakfast is excellent, well presented and served by very courteous and helpful waiting staff. The lunch and evening meals are excellent too and the menu is extensive. Each evening, in the centre of the green, there's a log fire to sit round to chat and take it easy in the cooler night air.  My wife and I are thankful to the Germans for  recommending The Mantis Lodge and we thank Nazareth and his staff for making us so welcome and looking after us so well.

“Awesome stay”

The accomodation was very nice and the host lebi organized our safari with the Most awesome guide (Silas). During our stay we met an awesome tanzanian working group who invited us to their bonfire which was an wonderful experience. Lebi and the staff of mantis creates an welcoming and supporting atmosphere to make it easy to enjoy every Moment of the stay.

The staff was very very kind, helping us in different ways!! The food was also very tasty. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful stay in Mantis! Highly recommended! Mr. Nazareth and his team did a great job, they really take a good care of us. The cottages are in a lovely forest, not far away from the Mikumi national park, it used to be one part of the park before. The wildlife will come around in the morning or sunset time. The room is clean, the bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast/lunch box/dinner in the restaurant. Every night Mr. Nazareth with sit by the bonfire with customers, we like the vibe of this.

The owner even organised a transport for us from Dar for a great price. The place was clean, helpful employees and great safari experience!

“Great experience in Mikumi”

The best part of the stay was the quality of the services arranged through the lodge. Transfer from Dar with a very good driver, excellent car. Our tour guide and vehicle for the Mikumi National Park were excellent. A very knowledgeable and patient safari guide. All this was arranged ahead of time with the hotel manager, who is very responsive through messaging. Our group really enjoyed the activities we did during our stay.

Location- right in the Mikumi park, with animals coming to the compound, Rooms very spacious,beds are comfortable ,fully working A/C , hot water in the shower, great food in the restaurant, plentiful and tasty breakfast .The staff were very attentive and helpful: the owner Nazareth, picked us up from the bus station, organised the safari tour and visit to the Masai Village , bought us a return bus ticket , helped us in every aspect .The boys working in the place were just amazing- polite,warm,helpful. All in all very happy for choosing Mantis Lodge for our 3 night stay

Nazareth goes extra mile for his guests, gives best suggestions for safari tours, transfers and anything related to your travel! Place is in the buffer zone of Mikumi NP, so you are completely in nature. Rooms are very clean, have AC. Enjoyed a lot, thank you!
