“Best experience we could have!”

Maddalena and Ernesto were very welcoming. They made us feel like if we were at home. The place is lovely, quiet and comfortable. We recommand to stay for dinner, food is really delicious, they work only with local products and explain everything you taste. We loved our breakfast as well! A full experience as a local in a beautiful place. Thank you for everything, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Such a unique place in Pollino National Park, I cannot recommend it enough. The hosts Maddalena and Ernesto made us feel really welcome and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. The dinner and breakfast were great too.

We stayed in quite a few places around, and all provided the basics. The usual classic Italian breakfast of a pastry and coffee. Here we had so much more. The room was great, the bed comfortable and the setting was ideallic. But what we were not expecting was the feeling of being welcomed into the family home. The host gave us a real experience of genuine local hospitality. The evening meal was made with love, every mouthful a pleasure, and the same level of excellence at breakfast. Local delicacies with stories and conversation. Meeting the chef, a local, sharing what felt like treasured family recipes. The warmth of a log burner, and wine to warm the soul. This place is genuine regional hospitality, so much more than just a place to sleep. Thank you Maddelana.

Exceptional place with kind and accommodating hosts. We booked and showed up and the owners didn't have a chance to realise the booking was made! But it wasn't a problem! We hadn't even expected to eat there but they offered and they made us a fabulous 4 courses! An unbelievable meal, 2 amazing hosts and their lovely daughter, luxurious rooms and an perfect idyllic rural surroundings. All in all an amazing stay. Many thanks, we hope to return!!

Beautiful accommodation with incredibly nice hosts. The directions were perfect and we received a very warm welcome. The breakfast has been very good. The hosts provided us with great tips and information about the region. We'll definitely be back.

“A Time with Nature & New Friends at Casa Alegria”

What made Casa Alegria so special , were the wonderful hosts , Maddalena & Ernesto . They spoke English well , . so we could talk on many levels. They were full of information about the area & Pollino National Park . We wanted to go on a short walk .. and they found us a lovely walk to see the ‘Pollino pine tree ‘. The B& B is in a beautiful setting among the pine trees . You are truly out in the country .
