“Charming hotel”

A charming hotel near Bordeaux. The breakfast was great with a personal touch of Francois. We were in the hotel during bad weather in October, but when it’s warmer the pool in the garden looks great.

“Original characterful chateau but don’t expect modern luxury”

“A little retreat”

It was a lovely mini break. Our room was large and perfect for all our requirements. Our Host Francoise was very attentive. Although we did have a miscommunication regarding food, leading to foods, i would never eat being beautifully presented . However, my husband ate most of the selection. I dont eat sweet food or strongly flavoured foods. The breakfast was mostly sweet. Cakes fruits, etc. I ate a small amount of bread and butter, which was lovely but not satisfying . My husband ate everything. My lack of consumption was not noticed. I prefer an egg, which i did request twice.

It is a gorgeous Chateau, inside and out. I still dream of Francois' sauce for the scallops. I recommend to stay here for anyone!

“Was memorable”

The caretaker Francois and Laeticia were really nice and were the main reason for the stay being nice.

We loved the tasteful decor, beautiful, lush gardens and pool- we had a fabulous room with super fast broadband. Our bed was very comfortable and bedding high quality. Our bathroom was huge and the shower very powerful - complimentary soaps and shampoo too. They provided a hairdryer which was great! The kitchen was traditional French and just wonderful- a beautifully set table, delicious coffee and scrumptious orange cake and custard flan. Absolutely delightful stay and so quiet we had a wonderful nights sleep as did our little Jack Russell! They placed beautiful iris flowers in our room for my birthday which was SO thoughtful and appreciated.

The host was just fantastic ,it prepared an excellent mean and the continental breakfast was top . A warm welcome with a drink and although close to Bordeaux ,the place was quite and you felt in nature .

The property is a very attractive old property set in a pine lined drive. We were welcomed by the wonderful, hospitable Francois who showed us around. Our room, the bridal suite, was a great size and well appointed. But what really makes this place truly special is Francois. We had breakfast and also two dinners at the chateau prepared by Francois. Magnifique. The 4 course meal was beautifully prepared with excellent French flavours and flair and all homemade. Francois will talk you through his menu and will do anything to please. The wines offered are of a very good quality. There is a choice of 2 breakfasts, one large, one small - both excellent and homemade again. Francois will help with anything you need during your stay.

We stayed at the chateau for 3 nights and had an awesome stay. Francois is a great host and his breakfast & dinner are exceptional, highly recommend to book these with him. The pool area is great to relax and especially the location can be highlighted as you're very fast in St Emilion, Bordeaux and the airport. All in all a great place to stay in Bordeaux.

“2N Stay for couple with dog”

Fabulous 2night stay at the Chateaux with the friendly & chatty host Francois - who speaks English and makes fantastic breakfast! The Chateau has its character & charms, as you would want in a Chateau-stay. Our room was big and had a view on the pool below. Nice big garden for the dog to wander around and a lovely pool in the back. The hosts were also really welcoming to our dog, which is a big plus for us. Free parking infront, the location of the chateau is good. Close to Bordeaux and about 20min from St.Emilion.

“Outstanding hospitality.”

The property was very authentic, history overload. Very quiet. Superb pool. Outstanding hospitality by the chef/host, very personal attention which is rare in this region, as Bordeaux people are “special”. The Rose room is great, spacious and direct access to pool area. The property has a lovely ambiance inside with some very relaxing rooms to sit and enjoy an era long past. Easy access to some great restaurants and towns which the Host will recomend.

“Short stay with friends”

We had a wonderful stay at the Chateau with friends for two nights. The property is gorgeous and very well-maintained inside and out. The rooms were large and extremely comfortable and each suite had its own individual character. The manager, Francois made sure our stay was exceptional and provided information about the best things to see and do in the area. He also cooked a lovely traditional French meal and we dined in the beautiful kitchen with other guests.
