“Incredible!”

Everything about this place is amazing - the location is beautiful, the rooms were great and really spacious, and the food was incredible. And the hospitality of the hosts was even better! We felt super welcome and had a great time. The best experience of it all was the dinner; we were sat on the outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains, amazing food, hummingbirds zooming around, nice sun, and great company. 100% would recommend, this was probably the best accommodation we've ever stayed at in the US. (Also, shout-out to Shadow and Sammy; the dogs made us feel even more at home).

Double G Ranch has exceeded all expectations, We got a room upgrade at the start, the whole communication (via whatsapp) and then in person with Frank has been outstanding. This is a 20 of 10 points! Absolutely recommended and worth taking additional 50miles if you are in the neighbourhood. The rooms, the views, the surroudings, the animals (beeing wake up by the sound of horses, the humming birds), the stars at night! Everything is perfect about this place! A must stop if you drive MIlion Dolar Highway or visit Black Canyon of Gunisson.

The accommodation is located in a very beautiful place. The hosts are fantastic, friendly, and helpful. It would be a shame to miss the dinner; it was very delicious. Moreover, it's very cozy to have it on the terrace while watching the sunset and the hungry hummingbirds flying above our heads. I highly recommend the accommodation.

Wonderful breakfast! Frank and Sandra are exceptional hosts and we loved staying in the fully refurbished cabin. Beautiful property, common areas, pets and farm animals too!

The location of the B&B was serene and quiet. Sitting outside on the wrap-around patio was exactly what I wanted and needed. The lovely owners attended to my every need and were very friendly. The evening meal they prepared for me (upon my request) and the included delicious breakfast was outstanding. It brought me back to memories of my travels in Germany.

Great care was taken to make us feel welcomed the moment we arrived from the basic logistics to learning about walks through the property. Food was beautifully prepared, both the breakfast with farm fresh eggs to a pre-arranged dinner with German flare. We left feeling like part of the family.

“Fantastic ranch stay”

My husband and I stayed at the Double G for two nights in August 2022 to explore the Montrose/Ridgway/Ouray areas. Great facilities, great hosts! We were in the spacious Eagles Nest room upstairs. It has the most comfortable king bed we've ever slept in (and we have a Sleep Number at home!) Beautiful views from all directions. Hosts Frank, Sandra and Mama Ulli are all super friendly and accommodating. Sandra let my husband, a horse enthusiast, visit with the wild Mustangs she has trained. Note this is a guest ranch, not a dude ranch, so there is no horseback riding, but we understood that before making reservations. We also got to know the family dogs, Shadow, Sammy and Thomas...all of whom are very friendly and well behaved. Frank fixes a delicious hot breakfast cooked to order for guests each morning, including eggs from their chickens and goat cheese from one of their neighbors. Things to note: Booking.com lists this room as having an "oversized double bed," but that is incorrect. It's a King. A "must see" is the incredible number of hummingbirds that frequent the outside deck. There are so many of them that Frank laughingly calls them "our Air Force." I was mesmerized and took way too many photos. This was a welcome break from staying in the usual chain hotels on our road trip. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would stay there again.
