“Traditional French hotel serving excellent food”

I have used this hotel a number of times. It’s a traditional French hotel which, while showing some wear, is an excellent place to stay. The hotel over looks the river Cher which you can use for a swim. The restaurant serves beautifully cooked French classics.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, having stayed there last year. We were travelling by bicycle and there is a very safe place for bike storage. The hotel overlooks the river and 'beach' and is close enough to the town centre for shops etc.

Right on the river ,old style ,no IKEA furniture etc in sight .Fabulous view from restaurant. Had a bath

Amazing view over the River Cher - perfect for our 91 year old mother to wave from our room window as we swam to the town’s bathing beach opposite. Classic continental breakfast also with view over the river and surrounded by 19C paintings.

“Disappointing except for the view”

The view is lovely- overlooking the River Cher The beds were comfortable and the chambermaids were wonderful at working around my 91 year old Mum The lift worked.

We've stayed in this hotel quite a few times and love the location and parking on the street outside is usually pretty easy. The river view is nice and the road outside isn't too noisy. The Air-conditioning was great. The restaurant food is usually pretty good.

Location was lovely right opposite River but was on a busy main road.
