Set in renovated manor originally built in the 17th century, Manoir d'Orbé is a traditional-style guest house with a furnished terrace in its garden. Montreuil-Bellay Castle is a 10-minute drive away and bikes are at guests’ disposal. The uniquely-decorated rooms have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. “Manoir d'Orbé relax and enjoy.”
What a great place to stay and relax. Jean-Michel and his wife Janine go out of their way to make your stay here as relaxing as possible. Jean-Michel is full of useful information about what is going on locally, where to eat and visit. Whilst, his wife arranges an exceptional French breakfast, with many home made Jams and yogurts.

“A great place to stay”
We had a large room with a view of the garden and it was nicely equipped. We received a very warm welcome from Jean- Michel and he was very helpful. He booked a very good restaurant for our evening meal and he gave us lots of advice on places to visit.

“Lovely old Manor house”
This was a beautifully decorated old Manor house. The owners Jean-Michel and Jeanine were lovely. Jean-Michel was very eager to help us plan our exploration of the region and aided us with maps and recommendations. He even kindly booked us a table at a local restaurant. We enjoyed a couple of breakfasts (additional charge) cooked by the owners, which were very nice. There were homemade jams, a plum tart, croissants, baguettes, etc. A great start to our day! Overall, it was a lovely house, in a quiet setting, with lovely owners whom we greatly enjoyed conversing with. We would recommend staying here.

“Great stay”
Great location, warm welcome, and a wonderful breakfast. Very good position just below Samur to Anger road. Also private parking with closed Gate. Will stay again if I pass.

“Great place for a short stay”
A chambre d'hote in the countryside within reach of Fontevraud Abbey. Private parking, large dining area with fridge, microwave, crokery and cutlery if required. Beroom tastefully decorated. Pleasant grounds in which to releax. There were no restaurants nearby but our host provided us with a locally produced meal. Excellent breakfast with home made jams. Very good value

Everything! From pre-arrival to goodbye: Mr Jean-Michel and his lovely family are very friendly, nice, do everything to help and are very attentive. The place is simply amazing with its beautiful and huge garden: one hears only birds singing and wind blowing among trees. Our room was very spacious and very cosy. Also, since the village has no restaurants, Mr Jean-Michel can help with local products at a very reasonable price. Having dinner in the garden it’s an experience worth the try! To sum up, a place worth the trip!
