What a happy stay chez Les Colombes! A warm welcome from our wonderful host made us feel very 'at home'. Our bedroom and attached bathroom were immaculate and very nicely decorated with lovely details. Our bed was very comfortable. Our excellent breakfast was delicious with a great range of homemade, locally sourced and organic ingredients. Thank you. All highly recommendable!

Large comfortable clean rooms with a seating area and coffee/tea etc. Hostess was very helpful. But the best was her breakfast, most of which came from her garden - 4 types of jam, fresh pressed apple juice, apple tarts, homemade bread - so good! Highly recommend this home.

Where to start. The b&b is located near a small village. There is barely any traffic and yet you’re only 20 minutes from Épernay. The house is big, as are the rooms. The rooms are nicely finished, modern and quite big. The terrace just outside offers an amazing and calming view over the surrounding fields. This all makes it a perfect base to explore the surrounding villages and cities. The hostess is very welcoming and helpful. Not too much in your face but always open for a conversation or recommendation. She often makes the house smell amazing, wether it is freshly baked bread, pastries or she’s preparing her dinner. Speaking of food, make sure to not skip breakfast. Everything is fresh, biological and most of what is served is homemade. The bread, the fruitsalad from her own garden, the pastries with fruit from her own garden, the juice, from her own garden. Even the water she has, she gets from a well/source on the land of her family. All in all I can say that the pictures on booking and google don’t even tell half the story. I would highly recommend booking a room here if you intend to explore the Champagne area or in take a break from city life!

A gem of a place in a quiet village near Reims. The host wasn't expecting English speakers as we booked only 2 hours before, but she did her best to speak it and with my broken French we did well. She was such a lovely lady. The room was spotless. We shared breakfast downstairs with the residents of the other room who could speak English and it was all really nice. A large majority of the breakfast was made by the host - Jams, tartlets etc and it was all really nice. Just beware when paying for breakfast - cash only but there was a very handy cash machine in another village two minutes away. The price for the room was amazing...it could easily be higher and still worth the money.

The breakfast was all home made; no reliance on bakery croissant. Her bio bread with seeds in was the perfect receptacle for home made jams with fruit from her garden and orchard (rhubarb, cherry, Mirabelle and strawberry). She also served a home made cherry tart. The apple juice was grown and pressed chez elle. I liked the simple fresh decor in the bedroom. Good value.
