Perfect location in Montmorillon...close to shops, sights and restaurants. The hosts treated us like we were family and went above and beyond to help us.

Beautiful and characterful old townhouse with an amazing garden and pool. Very friendly hosts providing a great breakfast. The en-suite bedroom was very comfortable. The house is situated in the old centre of town, near restaurants etc.

Due to reduced mobility we booked and stayed in the groundfloor Garden Room. Our only dissapointment being that we were only staying just the one night. Decor is traditional french and very comfortable. Great breakfast.

Marie and Roger are warm and welcoming hosts, ensuring their guests feel completely comfortable, providing information on the locality and where to visit and recommendations for dinner. The weather was very hot, however inside the old stone house was nice and cool. The decor is fabulous; each room individual and lovingly restored to be in keeping. Breakfast was ample and delicious - croissants from the nearby boulangerie and plenty to keep us going for the day. Roger’s coffee was excellent! The pool was perfect, completely secluded and we had it all to ourselves! Dinner recommendation was Le Roman des Saveurs - the best meal we had during our stay in France and really reasonable. Definitely visit the bar at the top square on the other side of the river. Quirky inside and outside was beautiful. We will definitely be back if we pass this way again.

This property is a little hiden gem. Lovely hosts and a great brakfast. We had the garden room and it felt like a special treat to open the door onto a magical garden of beautiful flowers and bird song.

The location is excellent - just a few steps from the shops and cafes of Montmorillon, and yet once you are in the surprisingly extensive and beautiful garden it is quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool is an added bonus, lovely and clean and large enough to swim up and down The house itself is a large attractive traditional building with interesting features, and my room was a very spacious double room, tastefully decorated, with a large modern ensuite shower room, The breakfast room is a delightful garden room, with lovely furniture, and the breakfast was beautifully set out, witha plentiful mix of fruit, croissants,fresh bread and spreads, juice and hot drinks, and more choices offered that I didn't need. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the hosts are just lovely - willing to chat or give help and advice if needed.

Room - actually a suite -exceptionally comfortable and stylish. Hosts friendly and hospitable. Garden full of character. Breakfast generous and tasty but afraid we didn’t do justice to the copious spread. ( We would have been quite happy with something more modest)

Friendly and helpful hosts - recommended a suitable restaurant for a delicious dinner. Room pleasantly decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast exceptional, and hosts were responsive to request for a gluten-free option. The property is pleasantly situated in a position accessible to the centre of town, without being noisy. Communication in advance was helpful.
