Overview
Hôtel Alpis Cottia is situated in Mongenèvre ski resort, just 2 km from Claviere and the Italian border. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from the terrace, use the free Wi-Fi and buy ski passes on site. The guest rooms at Hôtel Alpis Cottia are decorated in a traditional alpine style and offer a view on the mountains. They each have a flat-screen TV, a telephone and an en suite bathroom. A buffet breakfast is served every morning and drinks can be enjoyed in Le Graal Café, next to the hotel. Several shops and restaurants are found in the surrounding area. “Great location, lovely cosy small hotel, would stay again”
Staff were very friendly and accommodating at breakfast. (generally no staff onsite after this). Breakfast was basic however still very good, fresh bread and croissant, boiled eggs, cereal, cheese /ham, juice etc. The room was large and comfortable the bed sloped a little so not perfect, not sure if there was something broken on the bed. wasn't terrible but could have been better.

“Nice vacation”
Very close to the slopes, very clean, staff was friendly, shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance, a good place to store the snow equipment. Rooms are clean, reasonably well equipped, warm - and almost daily cleaned. TV was available. Despite the size, hotel was quiet.

“Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay, perfect for a short ski trip.”
The hotel is located in the very center of the town, literally 3 minutes from the ski lift. The atmosphere inside is cozy, with wooden interiors throughout. We didn’t use the breakfast option, but it is available. The room was warm and comfortable. There is a special room for storing ski equipment overnight, so you don’t have to carry it upstairs to your room. The room was quiet despite the bar located under the building. The staff were very helpful and friendly from the bar and hotel

“Excellent mountain stop-over.”
In the middle of the blazing heat wave of 2025 Hotel Alpis Cottia was a welcome, cool stop-over. Obviously the real business of the hotel is the ski season, but cyclists and motorcyclists make it worth opening for the summer. The hotel is a simple lodge style building, lined with wood and well insulated. The facilities are up to date with comfortable beds and lots of hot water in the shower. Evening meals are not available, but there are good mountain restaurants in the village. Breakfast, on the other hand is truly generous.
