Amazing location and host

“Lovely stay with incredible views and warm hospitality”

We had a lovely 2-night stay here! The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views. The staff were very friendly, and Hermida (the owner) was especially kind: she even gave us a little tour of the finca, which we really appreciated. If you’re looking to stay close to nature, this is the perfect place. We were lucky enough to see toucans, parrots, and hummingbirds during our visit. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and I especially loved the banana pancakes: they were amazing! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and nature-filled stay.

Coffee House is located very nice in the nature. The owners and everyone else is super friendly and chill.

“A beautiful property to stay amongst nature with a wonderful family and staff”

We loved our stay here! Hidden away from it all in a quiet (except nature noise) rural area. Casa Montesero is a wonderful cabin on the property. It was it's own destination for us. We did do some tours in the cloud forest and around but found that we were very comfortable after our tour to just hang around the cabin. The beds are comfortable and there is lots of space for everyone to spread out. We ate dinners and breakfasts at the main building and were spoiled with delicious and varied (even vegetarian) meals as well as friendly conversations with the family and staff. We would love to return to Monteverde area and we'd definitely stay here again. Also, the coffee and cacao direct from the farm is great and better value than the souvenir shops in town or at airports.

The owners of the place were very kind and cooked a good breakfast for us, especially for the price of 8$ per person which was the cheapest meal I had in CR during my stay.

“Amazing stay on coffee plantation”

We truly loved our stay at Hermida’s place 🤩 we were welcomed and hosted like a family. The food is freshly prepared and delicious, the coffee they make and sell is way better than in other coffee plantations or shops, so you must definitely buy few kg of whole beans coffee to take home :) You don’t need 4x4. Regular car will do just fine :) What we liked the most? The family atmosphere, the food, cosy and clean chalet right on the coffee plantation, amazing view from huge windows, the cleanliness of the place.

“Amazing view, amazing family”

Living in the jungle, a short drive from town. Big windows to great views of a family owned coffee plantation. The living room area is like a studio with a small kitchen, 2 big beds and a sofa bed + a seprate bedroom with 1 double bed. The best thing is the family who owns the place, so nice and welcoming. You can add breakfast for 8 usd pp (or 6 for kids) and a traditional dinner (14 usd pp). Great food. 4x4 is a must.

“Welcoming homely retreat in the heart of the Monteverde forest”

The house was simple but very clean and well organised and surrounded by various fruit, vegetable, coffee plants. Above all, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, while the breakfast (included) and dinner ($14) were both wonderful home-cooked feasts!

Amazing modern house in quiet area, far from touristic place. Fantastic coffe plantation around the house, kids enjoyed walking around every day. Family driven business, warm welcome. Highly recommend plantation tour. My kids did not want to leave. This is the place to truly enjoy pura vida!

“Beautiful surroundings, authentic, great service!”

Beautiful wooden house in midst of green, lovely birdwatching from the windows, comfortable beds and lots of space. Allan was a great host - gave us a very interesting tour of the farm and his team cooked most delicious dinners for us in the evenings. We loved it here!

“A real farm stay”

Ok, the host is a fantastic guy. He made food for us. Best we had in Costa rica. The place has enough beds to sleep an army. View is truly amazing.

“Nice!”

It’s a farm, you stay in a separate house that is very spacious. It has 1 large bathroom, bedroom with double bed and baby bed and a spacious kitchen with a coach and 2 double bed. We did not cook but eated at the farm for two diners and two breakfasts. We have also taken a farm tour with two and it all costed around 280 dollars. It felt liked we where home at Costa Rica with Allen, the owner. Would recommend!

“Farm house experience within coffee mountain”

Simple property, but spacious and clean Apartment includes 3 double beds a kitchen area and modern bathroom facilities Host offers a very insightful tour around the garden, where you will find dozens of fruits, herbs, coffee, etc. (extra price of $25 pp) Owner serves optional breakfast & dinner with local products Motmot and tucan birds spotted in front of the apartment.

This is a working finca where they grow coffee and other fruit. You will fall in love with Ermida before you fall in love with her place. She is also a fountain of knowledge. definitely want to come back and spend time here

“Beautiful place in Doña Hermida's farm.”

We were two families of 4 each . We had this big house where we could fit in with a extra bed on the floor but it worked fine. You are located in the heart of a farm family owned. The owner is Hermida, a lovely lady who is helped by the whole family, her grandson who speaks english came to welcome us. You have to take the breakfast and diner there, it is like being in Sra Hermida's kitchen. You eat fresh products from the farm. It is just a lovely location and they have so much to tell you about the place. We recommend 4x4 to explore Monteverde and to get to the house but the view is amazing from your lodge. Do not hesitate

The location was perfect. Jennifer was amazing and helped us with everything we asked. Room was a bit cold, but that was because it was very windy. Good beds with nice warm blankets
