“Not great, one night is more than enough.”

On face value the wooden lodges looked amazing and nestled in the forest was lovely. The staff were all extremely helpful and lovely.

Location amazing for the town but also felt like you were in the jungle. We enjoyed the breakfasts at the sister Ficus hotel attached to the property. The trails were nice - we saw some Coatis and Howler monkeys.

Receptionists were great, vegetation outside windows gave the room an isolated air and breakfast at neighbouring hotel was excellent

The staff were very friendly and super helpful. The location was also great, right in the middle of downtown.

“Lovely but overpriced”

Great rustic cabin. Rustic should not mean old, tired light fittings and plumbing, but in this case it does. Half of the Lodge was closed so there were limited amenities. The price we paid, $290 per night, was too much. There was no mini fridge in the cabin, nor ice maker nearby. I would definately go back, but not at that price.

It was a nice stay. The lodges are a bit small, has then walls and roof, so it could be noisy (thankfully it did not rain) and was a bit cold. But overall an unique experience where you feel like you are in the jungle.

“A hidden gem in the rainforest”

The room is basic and quaint but we were there because it was in the middle of the rainforest surrounded by nature and wildlife everywhere. We saw many animals, even on our terrace. Breakfast is included and excellent, dinner was very good but the happy hour is delightful after a day's hiking and sunset is spectacular. The staff are extremely friendly, especially Aylin, Manfred and Jorge. The staff in Fig restaurant onsite were some of the most friendly helpful happy people ever.

Excellent breakfast and service. We walked up the hill for breakfasts and one dinner, and we were able to manage this and it was interesting even in the rain. Receptionists helped us a lot. We liked the forest setting.

THe setting in the forest is great; the place was very quiet.

We loved the fact that the cabin was in the jungle but so close to the town and other attractions. The breakfast was great with a choice of three options and self service drinks. There are lots of paths to walk around in the grounds.

“Jaguarundi Jungle Lodge - Stunning Surroundings”

Great location and absolutely stunning surrounds. It really felt like we were staying in the middle of the jungle, particularly with the resident howler monkeys hooting and hollering. Dylan and Manfred at reception were fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast at the Ficus Hotel next door was also a great inclusion.

Good location in easy walking distance of Santa Elena restaurants. Saw lots of animals in the grounds (monkeys, capybara, coati). Simple but comfortable rooms and a good shower.

The staff was super friendly and helpfull. There is a small hiking trail that is nice to do and there is some wildlife around. Beds were comfy and the shower was great.

Good location to town centre, restaurants and not too far from the Cloud Forest or Selvatura. Nice 1km trial inside the property with some Agouti’s.
