“A lovely little hotel”

Very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was a lovely bonus. The room was spacious and clean. I turned up early and was still able to have the room.

Breakfast was varied and freshly prepared at the requested time. Excellent location on a quiet street and walking distance to stores and Sodas/restaurants. Close to the natural reserves, attractions. Lots of hiking opportunities.

“Ok for a couple of nights”

Short walk into town, two excellent sodas nearby. Comfortable bed. Friendly host, booked transport to cloud forest and advised on bus to Quepos, spoke good English. Nice balcony to watch the sunset.

“Good to explore Monteverde”

I recommend getting a room on the first floor, to have some views of nature, including sunset and rainbows. The room was big although the double bed wasn't, but it was comfortable. The lady at the reception seemed nice but wasn't of many words, and forced us to pay in cash (and watch out for the conversion!). Basic breakfast (fresh fruit, toast, a bit of jam, eggs). Location wise, 5-10 minute walk to Santa Elena, bit more to Monteverde. Far away from the main roads, so it was quiet. The main noise came from the wind!

Freddie was a lovely host who when I be arrived patiently let me try my Spanish before revealing his excellent English! When I showed him the tour I had booked for the following morning he knew all the relevant details and in 5 minutes had arranged for my transport to and from, saving me considerable effort and probably quite a lot of money. The room is big, beds are comfy, the tv works great and the bathroom is smart and boasts hot water on demand. Had a brief but lovely stay. Thoroughly recommend.

“Simple and honest, highly recommended!”

Very friendly owner (and pet dog!), clean B&B in a superb location. The night before you can tell them at which time you would like to have breakfast and what would you like to have, and next day breakfast is being cooked for you right on time. Really enjoyed my stay there, both Monteverde and its people have left an indelible memory from this trip! :)

“A decent place to lay your head”

The bed was comfortable with nice pillows and the shower was warm with decent pressure. It was a good location for everything - town, walks, tours.

One of the best price/quality hotels i've ever stayed in! The hosts are amazing and helped us with everything. Location is on a 5 minute walk from downtown. Perfect because its close but also very quite at night

“No access to the kitchen, overpriced”

The breakfast was ok, however it could be great if it was possible to add at least some salt to eggs :) The location was ok

Freddy, the owner was very nice and helpful. He helped us get transport and arrange our activities. A very friendly host. The cleaning was good and comfortable beds. A really nice hotel and especially for the price. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was good here. I spent 3 nights around Monteverde and changed of hotel everynight because the two first places where not good. I finally ended up here. My only regret is that I haven't chosen this place since the first day. For about 30$ you get a quite and spacious clean room with a great hot shower and a good breakfast. Owners are very friendly and ready to help !
