“Typical tour group hotel not good for individual travellers”

Rooms are big and the view is nice. Reception was fruendly and helpful.

As described on the website. Well-located: short car journeys to the tourist sites surrounding Monteverde. Comfortable bed, lovely view over Monteverde from the restaurant. Saw an agouti, a coati and lots of birds in the grounds.

Good location, great views, good breakfast, and helpful staff. Every morning so many birds in the trees outside would wake us up with their chirping. So many beautiful birds: parrots, tucans, etc. Make sure to bring binoculars to see them. This was a bonus.

This property is is very spacious with a beautiful wooden decor. We were travelling as two friends and found it a very comfortable for plenty of space in the room. the sunset from the balcony was stunning. Its comes with a fridge and small freezer which is handy.

“Pleasant stay in the hills of Monteverde”

Lovely hillside setting with great views especially at sunset. Room good value; basic but large, clean and with comfortable (and massive) bed and nice hot shower. Also massive bath. No AC in rooms but could even do with heating as nights get a bit chilly in Monteverde. Staff were all pleasant and breakfast was good- best gallo pinto we’ve had in Costa Rica!

“Amazing rustic hotel”

Boutique hotel with rustic vibes. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is up the hill with very good views. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience.

large room with balcony area outside and large windows overlooking views. location was great in middle of various attractions. the room is a little dark due to all the wood, but we actually liked the fact it looked different. the room was clean and had everything we needed. the beds only had a sheet and blanket, combined with vented windows to allow natural ventilation, so we initially thought we’d be cold at night but it was actually very cosy. breakfast was fantastic, filling and delicious (buffet style with Costa Rican gallo pinto, meat/veg mixes, pancakes and plantain, meats and cheese, toast, fruits, juices or hot drinks). the access road to the hotel is a little intimidating at first (as was much of the 606 road to Monteverde) as it is steep and bendy, but it is all paved and driveable. the reception is up the road towards top of the site, but our room was in the lower building which had a lower access point that was explained on check in. evening meals were absolutely outstanding - delicious carrot and fig soup, spinach ravioli, and roasted chicken. staff were helpful and friendly - some misunderstanding due to language, but all cleared up promptly. very good value for money.
