The location is great, walking distance to everything in town, including a large grocery store. The room was good, but I didn't realize when I booked it that there wasn't an air conditioning unit in the place. Thankfully it was cool enough during our stay that we didn’t need it. There is street parking available but a little on the sketchy side as you have to tilt slightly into the ditch to keep off the road. The kitchen was handy and the balcony was nice as a place to sit, especially since there is no couch inside the unit. There is an eating table, just no place to lounge. We saw some pretty birds but no monkeys during our stay like other reviewers have seen. The host was very nice. He also gave us a shopping bag as a gift as the grocery stores don't give out free bags when you buy groceries - that was a nice touch

“Terrific Place”

Great location. Easy walk into town and hiking. Wildlife from balcony. We had visits from monkeys and saw toucans. Kitchen well stocked. Owner very attentive.

The place have been so great, modernised and equipped with everything U need. The landlord is so kind and professional. And yes, we got the top experience in Monte Verde: the monkeys visited our windows and we have been able to interact with them via the Window so close like in no place ever. This accomodation is just the perfect one in Monte Verde!!! I would absolutely return if I can.

“Wonderful stay!”

The property had everything I needed to make meals for the kids, relax and sleep. I found the location excellent as it was quiet (some traffic noise but if shut bedroom door didn’t notice it) but also very easy to get into town and access supermarkets. Lovely local place selling pasties and horchata which I wished I had gone to more just up the hill. Shower was warm and when there was an issue owner sorted it immediately. Nice balcony to sit out on too and look at birds and if lucky monkeys. They also had some nice games for the kids. So clean as well and WiFi worked well. For the price excellent value.

Simple but comfortable apartment in Santa Elena. Close to shops, restaurants and bus. Very clean, and comfortable beds. Little balcony and view of forest through big windows was great. Well equipped with fridge and microwave. Good value.

“Well equipped centrally located apartment”

Lovely apartment with everything you could ask for. Most equipped kitchen we’ve come across, along with special touches such as fruit, eggs, fruit juice on arrival. Extremely welcoming hosts. Comfortable beds and plenty of places to put your things. Great location close to the shops but a wonderful balcony looking into the treetops. Parking opposite on the street which was totally fine. Loved our stay here thank you!

“A PLEASANT STAY”

We loved sitting on the deck - it is attached to the back of the light, bright dining area and overlooks a dense mini-forrested area over a running a creek - listening to and watching the birdlife, and even a howler monkey came by. The hot shower is the best we came across in all of the seven hotels we stayed in on our trip. The local shops and restaurant complex is close-ish, but the walk there on a paved footpath is up steep slope that might cause a mobility issue for some. Internet access was good. The unit was clean and the beds were comfy. We felt safe walking around the area at night. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming.

“Excellent”

We loved staying here. The apartment was spotless. Beds really comfortable. Our hosts friendly and helpful. Rosie even gave us supplies for breakfast the next morning. The balcony looks over the forest. Close to shops and restaurants and the bus to the cloud forest goes right past the door. Cant recommend enough.

Rosi and Oscar were so nice and friendly, the whole apartment had a lot of thoughtful and helpful equipment (tea, small amounts of food, toiletries, nice towels, small "emergency kit" Plastic containers for lunch...) we felt really at home and enjoyed our stay!

“Excellent value and a beautiful location with wonderful hosts.”

Our hosts Rosie and Oscar were wonderful. They were kind and accommodating and very easy to communicate with. The View of the trees and down the Mountainside was amazing. Our sun deck was beautifully positioned facing the forest and sunshine where we also got a great view of the passing clouds and rain forest mist. The hosts left us food condiments as well as breakfast ingredients, juice and everything was excellent. One thing we really appreciated was the apartment was adorned with beautiful art painted by our host which we really liked.

“Best experience”

The property is excellent- location, cleanliness, hospitality. BUT- the best part is the visitors- white faced monkeys on the balcony early in the morning. An incredible experience- they are hilarious.

“Home sweet home!”

Charming and helpful hosts who provided information and a few little extras that make it feel like home. Very well-equipped kitchen, with cooking essentials such as oil and butter (and eggs!) as well as a good array of appliances, pots and pans. Lovely outlook from the rear balcony, on a forested area with monkeys and birds. A few minutes walk to shops and restaurants but quiet and restful. Fantastic value.
