It is very well located away from the main town, secluded and with a lovely garden and an excellent (sunset) view towards the Pacific coast. The house is huge and feels like a real family home. It is not brand new but is full of everything you need for a relaxing few days and to cook a lovely meal or two. Definitely a great place to relax, read, wander the garden, watch the sunset and generally feel like you are on holiday and away from it all, especially after being with the crowds at the various attractions, activities and restaurants in town.

Didn't do the tour the caretaker offered, due to a busy schedule. But he gave us fresh eggs! Nice guy! Staff at the hotel where you pick up the keys is also nice! Place is located in a nice area, with a lovely view. Living room is huge and there are enough cooling supplies.

Beautiful location. Comfortable house. The kitchen was maybe the best equipped of any property I have ever stayed at. But the real highlight was Herman, the caretaker, who gave us a tour of the property (we saw a mama sloth and her baby!) and even shared fresh eggs.

key collection was no trouble - went to the main business' reception in town where we parked up and went to get the keys from the chap on reception who was friendly and gave us some local info which was helpful. The house is great. Big open space, great view. Wildlife on your doorstep with monkeys and birds in the trees and even agouti running around lol fun times. Herman even gave us eggs but we didn't get a chance to eat them and nor did we get a chance to go on the tour of his farm :( Overall, a lovely place at a decent price.

This property is just amazing! The view is exceptional, the house is well equipped with everything you need. German welcomed us with fresh eggs and took the time to show us the property! Pura vida!

“A gem of a place to enjoy a stay in nature”

Fantastic location to enjoy the Monteverde area. Away from crowded Santa Elena but only a few minutes drive away. The house is very special. The bright big living room is the highlight. The terrace is unique to enjoy a beautiful view. You feel totally immersed in nature. Herman the caretaker is super sweet and shared his passion for animals, plants and nature. The staff managing the house was super kind and helpful. The internet broke down after a storm and fixed the next day.

The view is awesome. The best thing is just to sit on the veranda and relax. There is a hammock and a table for 6. So you can even eat outside. Herman showed us the property which was nice. We even got some eggs. The living room is big. It has a bar and candles :-). The kitchen is quite well equipped (only a kettle would be a great addition). And we liked that they care about recycling. Netflix and WiFi worked fine.

Fantastic place to stay. The views are amazing and I have never seen such a well equipped kitchen in a rental house. Herman the caretaker gave us a very interesting tour of the grounds, including animal spotting and learning about the Medicinal Plants. The cakes at panaderia jimenez, just across from the entrance are worth a try too.

Really need a car to get anywhere. Herman did a tour of the grounds and we saw a sloth, armadillos, aguti and much more. The view was exceptional, and the house had plenty of space.
