“Friendly staff and great location”

We had a very pleasant stay here. The room was large, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were not the most comfortable, but they were perfectly fine for the two nights we spent there. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. As soon as we arrived, they immediately gave us recommendations and advice about the tours and activities we could do in the area, which we really appreciated. The location was also very good and convenient for exploring the surroundings. There are a lot of stairs, so it is something to keep in mind if you are travelling with heavy luggage, but thankfully they helped me with my bag on arrival, which was very appreciated. A special mention to their cat and dog — they were honestly the cutest things ever and made the stay even more enjoyable! Overall, a great experience and good value for money.

The room felt cold at times, especially when it was windy outside. There were several blankets available, which helped, but the door did not seem completely airtight, and overall the room was on the chilly side. The service and communication also left something to be desired on occasion. When I asked whether I could cancel a tour I had booked through them due to very heavy rain, I was told to go into town myself to cancel it — in the pouring, cold rain. This was not the only instance where communication regarding tours booked at the property fell short. In all fairness, they did show flexibility on one occasion, contacting the tour guide directly and rescheduling the hours for me — which was appreciated.

Our stay in Monteverde was absolutely brilliant because we stayed here! Eddy is an absolute legend, helping us with transport arrangements and booking tours both in advance and at the last minute, as well as helping us find the best option for the experiences we wanted. In particular, our tour with Roy in Curi Cancha was one of our best experiences of the holiday. The hotel has a real homely, family feel, complete with dog (Katy) and cat (Molly). Located a 2 minute walk from the heart of the town, it is in the perfect location to get anywhere and still provide some quiet. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean in general. The breakfast was tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to help ourselves to coffee! Great value and great experience.

Eddy and his family were really helpful and kind, there were padded chairs in the bedroom, the bed was comfortable. I liked the location close to the centre. Nice outside space to chill out. Very good breakfast.

Location was great for going out for dinner. As we had to leave early, they arranged to serve our breakfast a bit early Shower was great.
