“Simply amazing”

Everything was impressively clean and well organized, and we loved the location and the area! Antonio, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful! One of our best stays in Italy!

Everything was just perfect. Amazing small town, beautiful, new and luxurious apartment, helpful owner, free parking. We didn't have breakfast in the reservation but there is a small kitchen, available free for all the guest, with croissant, coffee, tea, nutella, jam. I have never experienced something like this before. Housekeeping, clean towels everyday.

We were welcomed by Antonio with his great hospitality. The hotel is well equiped with everything you need. Parking is free. The room is big and beautiful. Would definatey come back again! Thank you!

“Great location right at the centre of this beauthiful historical town”

Excellent location at the heart of an amazing historical town. The host was amazing - particularly on our departure when he personally led us through the back streets to avoid road closures due to a market and festival. Rooms were large, well appointed and spotless. Breakfast at the cafe next door was very reasonable and very good.

Excellent room and facilities. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast facilities are excellent. Parking was provided for free just at the door of the room. The old square where the apartment is located (ner tha abbey) is very nice. If you want to go to the nearby Matera is about 20 minutes by car.

“Great option in Puglia!”

This is a germ! Property is super comfortable. Even though breakfast is not included there is coffee and tea that can be made any time. There are also some packaged croissants for free and biscuits and marmelade. Room was spacious and very nice. People were super friendly and helpful. Parking is included but a bit challenging as there are not always spots but we managed fine. Great location to see Matera!

Beautiful old building (originally part of the Abbaye) renovated to a high standard. Spacious bathroom & nice view out over the piazza. Easy, free parking just outside the rear entrance. Lovely hosts & snacks available in the communal dining area. Breakfast available at the cafe just around the corner - we also had a good, simple dinner at the same cafe.

The house was beautifully situated and the room was magnificent. The staff we met were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was in a lovely (30m) nearby cafe where staff were very obliging. It was great.

Montescaglioso is a charming and authentic town worth a visit by it's own. It is also a good base to go to Matera, Craco or even to the sea. Regarding the accomodation: there wasn't a single thing wrong. The room was big, the bed was comfortable (on the firmer side, just as I like) and big enough for my 199 cm long body. Everything was very clean. The parking lot is guite big and is right behind the building. It can be crowded at times, but we have always found a spot. To reach the property by car, you need to drive trough most of Montescaglioso. The only good way is trought Piazza Roma and then Corso dela Republicca. We were provided good instructions before our arrival. Last but not least: Antonio, the host is a very nice and helpful person. He even escorted us to a car repair shop to have our tire presure checked. Great experience, we hope to be back some time.

The property is great, amazingly located in the city of Montescaglioso. When you open the window you can enjoy the beautiful view in the square and it is like going back in time. Parkings are available close to the property, which is very practical. The room is spacious and clean, we enjoyed very much staying there. Antonio, (the host) is welcoming and available for any help you need. We will definitely come back to Foresteria dell’Abbazia!

Everything was great. The owner was very helpful with everything, the room is spacious, kitchen fully equipped with snacks, tea, coffee, cutlery and dishes. Cleanliness was exceptional, morning views from the nearby city walls- breathtaking. Absolute gem!

We loved this gorgeous little hilltop town. And the accommodation beside the Abbey! Everything was sparkling clean and a very high standard. The hosts have an eye for detail and the spacious room, kitchen area and outside terrace with flower pots and view was just such a pleasure to enjoy. Parking was right outside the door. Instead of dining out we walked to the nearby supermarket and bought ham, tomatoes, cheese, grapes and melon and enjoyed it on the terrace. A lovely night in Montescaglioso thank you.
