The owners of the house - the mother Franca, and her daughter who knows enough English - were very helpful to us. The room is large and spacious and so is the bathroom. This is a not new residence, but furnished and organized perfectly. Breakfast at the Il Ponto bar - as usual: coffee and pastry (for a change the croissant is not full of sugar like in other places in Italy). The location is excellent - with free parking on the street. The city is nice and very high with a beautiful view (an important site - the monastery The ancient Benedictine monastery, worth a visit (paid), and it is worth sleeping here rather than in expensive Matera, and driving the 14 km between the cities.

A lovely welcoming place. It was spotless, and the owners were really friendly and kind. All the facilities were modern and of a high standard. The location was just right. It's a great place to stay. I would highly recommend it!

“Spacious room”

The host is extremly friendly (she only speaks Italian!) A real Italian nono who is attentfull and carying. The room was clean with a spacious private bathroom having everything you need. There is a shared kitchen available. The place is also great for bigger groups/familly as there is an extra bed in the room and a second room with own bathroom that you can rent extra. There is free parking but you have to look for a spot yourself in the street or surroundings. There is breakfast available, it consist of a croissant and hot drink in a bakkery arround the corner (2 min walk). It's close to visit Matera, but you need a car. Price was one of the lowest in the area of Matera.

Breakfast was fantastic - we had delicious and freshly baked cakes and foccaccia. The owner of the B&B is extremely friendly and wants to make sure everyone is left full :-)

The accommodation is huge with room after room, the WiFi is good, the place itself is spotless, our host was amazing so friendly and at breakfast she just kept feeding us with so many home made treats, we found a parking space ok just outside the accommodation.
