**Avoid Eden Villa at All Costs!** I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Eden Villa in Jamaica, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. First, trying to book was a hassle; my bank flagged charges as fraudulent, which should have been my first red flag. After finally booking through Booking.com, I was hit with an extra $90 charge for using a credit card, which is absurd since there was no other payment option. The villa's strict no-refund policy trapped me into agreeing to five pages of house rules that weren’t disclosed upfront. To make matters worse, I ended up in the hospital just before my arrival, but even with proof, they refused to let me cancel. Booking.com’s customer service tried to help, but the host, Neerma, was unhelpful and cold. Upon arrival, the villa did not match the photos. Four bathrooms were infested with roaches, and despite attempts to spray, the bugs just kept coming. My guests had to shower in my room because of the situation—absolutely unacceptable. Privacy was another issue, as staff lived on the property and entered the villa without warning. We had to repeatedly ask them to knock first, which was frustrating. We paid premium prices and expected some level of privacy. The massage services were decent, but trying to hire a personal chef turned into a humiliating experience filled with unnecessary back-and-forth and demands for photos of our food. It was embarrassing for my guests and time-consuming. In summary, this place is riddled with hidden fees, poor service, and major cleanliness issues. Save yourself the time, energy, and money—do not book Eden Villa!
