“A hidden piece of paradise”
We loved everything about our stay at Porta Castellana!! Perfectly positioned on the edge of the village with the most magical garden to sit in and enjoy the birds and views. Dida was the kindest and most helpful host. Great to have parking right out the front whilst also staying in the hill top village. I can’t recommend this place enough and would stay again in a heartbeat!

A fantastic B&B in Montalcino. Very peaceful, with a fantastic garden. Breakfast was served on the room's own patio in the beautiful garden. Duccio and his mama gave us a wonderful welcome and did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. Thank you for having us. We will be happy to return.

This was the highlight of two weeks of travel in Italy. This stay couldn’t have been better! The setting is wonderful, with a beautiful garden where you can have breakfast with the sounds of singing birds. Duccio and Annalisa were the best hosts we could wish for, giving great recommendations of places to visit/eat not only in montalcino but also around the region. Highly recommend!

EVERYTHING: the gorgeous surroundings, the spacious and comfortable apartment, the fantastic owners (helpful beyond expectation) and staff, their ability to communicate in perfect English (because our Italian is terrible), the delicious breakfast in the garden, the wonderful local suggestions, the flowers everywhere, the QUIET at night, the adorable neighbors gardening in their yard, the location close enough to walk to everything but just far enough from everything to feel like a vacation... what's not to love?

“A real gem in the heart of Montalcino”
Fantastic location a few minutes walk from the heart of Montalcino...the fort, museum, churches, shopping and fantastic restaurants and wine. Beautiful breakfast outside in the sunny garden. Our room was peaceful and a cool escape from the sun. Parking is close to the room. Highlight was our fabulous host Duccio who told us the best places to eat and was there to ensure our stay was amazing. We would love to stay again.

“Beauty and comfort in Montalcino”
Montalcino is such a beautiful town. Porta Catellena is just a few minutes walk from everywhere. Super comfortable room with a memory foam mattress. Lovely breakfast served on the patio. Super helpful hosts. Be prepared to walk up the hill.

We enjoyed our stay at Porta Castellana B&B. Delicious breakfast in the garden. Walkable to Montalcino main square and good restaurants and wine shops. You have to drive on narrow streets to get to the B&b by car.

Beautiful and welcoming facility. Duccio was very accommodating and provided some great recommendations. Location was spectacular. Breakfast each morning was incredible. We very much enjoyed our stay, and will certainly be back!

“Beautiful Gardens, wonderful breakfast!”
Beautiful location, close to the Old City, but some stair climbing to get there. Lovely Breakfast delivered to our room so we could enjoy it outside on our little private Terrace. Very friendly Owner and great Parking.
